You only get the discount on your own meal. Not the whole bill.
Unless you spent 250 bucks on your own meal?

I went to the site that you specified and didnt see anything about it being limited to the card holder. I have read and confirmed when my card was ordered that this was good for the cardholder and a number of guests. I believe the total party may not be greater than 6 people including the cardholder. Anyone care to confirm?? Belle

I know that it used to be for up to 6 people. I belive they changed it (with the new allowing AP holder to use it.) for up to 8 people. (We are going with a party of 10, but 2 are babies. :) )

Lookin forward to it! Will post pics later! I like the DDE so far, and I havn't even used it yet. Im a huge fan of Sci-fi, so I'm looking forward to using it there as well!

Sorry if this was already mentioned in a previous post, but I just sorta skimmed. The DDE card will also give you complimentary Valet Parking at resorts with participating restaurants(I should know, I worked the valet booth at Boardwalk).

Just ordered mine this morning. Very painless, esp since the AP I physically have is expired and I don't get the new one until I arrive in a few weeks. I thought that might cause some problems. But nope, smooth sailing.

And I had my confirmation email within moments.

Was shocked to see it doesn't expire until late march next year though. So it's valid for over a year. That's great!

We just got back and we had them fax it to our hotel after we checked in. The card was well worth it. We saved a few hundred because of it.

I used it last night... everything went smoothly, dinner for 2 including drinks, entrees, desserts, and 2 appetizers at the Yachtsman Steakhouse came out to about $70.. not too bad when you also factor in the free valet

*and was that just for the bar tab? :animwink: *
No, I guess with Ms. MKT we were on good behavior! :D

Hey again All, I just got my card and according to the documentation with the card it is good for the cardholder and up to 9 guests!!! That's right folks!! 9 of your nearest & dearest!!! Any more feedback on people using the card?? Also I wonder why Mitsukoshi isnt listed on the official listing but does give the discount?? Do they not want to be forced to give the discount all the time?? Belle

We have not gotten the actual card yet but we had them fax the info to our hotel when we arrived. We saved about $300.00 on our trip. It is good at a ton of places. Some would have to get approval some never even looked at the fax. The only thing you have to deal with is, they always tell you to wait until the end of eating and they forget when they bring the bill and then have to go back to correct it.

I'm a PAP holder from the UK coming over to spend 3 weeks in the WDW area in July/August. Anyone know if we non USA types are entitled to the DDE card?

indeed you are, just give them a phone call to enroll in the programme. They'll email you a temporary letter and you'll receive your permanent card about 8 weeks later (for US addresses, probably 12 weeks for UK).

call 001-407-566-5858, option 3 to enroll.

Mitsukoshi DOES NOT participate in the DDE 20% discount. They DO participate in the 10% AP holder discount for 2005 benefits. Get a AP benefit/card holder booklet at Guest Relations as you enter the park so you can back yourself up if there is a dispute. They don't have a clear lock on what they do participate in but are certain about what they DON'T. This applies to lunch & dinner {EDIT: Note - Just lunch, NOT dinner. See post below. - A}, Monday - Friday. Check with dinning reservations CM as to start/stop times for meals.

Alright here's my question. I'm going to WDW May 19-24. Can I buy my PAP when I get there and get my DDE at the same time or can I only get it by phone? If I can get it when I check-in down there it would make it a lot easier.

it takes about 6-8 weeks (more like 12 for me) to get the card once you've ordered it

Short answer... Membership in DDE can only be purchased by phone or by mail by contacting the disney dining office. DDE membership is not sold at any ticketbooth or guest relations desk.

Long answer... Sorta. You can buy your PAP at any WDW ticket center or guest relations then call the DDE office if it's M-F 9-5. They can fax you your membership letter to the resort you are staying at. If you are checking in on a weekend, then you need to purchase you DDE membership before you leave during normal business hours... which means you need to buy your PAP ahead of time as well so you can have it (or at least the voucher) when you order your DDE.
