So more or less all sit-down restaurants EXCEPT the JApaneses Steak-House in EPCOT? That stinks because it is our favorite! Or does it? Do we know for sure?

According to people here who have the card and are using it, Teppanyaki Grill is accepting this program as well. I hadnt gotten through to Disney as of yet to get my card and so could not confirm that with anyone there. I will post any info that I do get though, assuming that the wait time to get through to that office has diminished. Belle

I have used it there with no problem. I've never been to the tempurar bar or whatever it is called, so I don't remember if it is valid there.(but I suspect it is valid)

When you get the card, Disney sends you a list of what locations accept the card, so you don't have to figure anything out. :D

WOW! Now we have lots more to think about! *sigh* We were debating on using the Magic Your Way tickets with the $35 a day addition that covers one dinner, one snack, and one counter service meal (if I am understanding correctly) instead of AP's this year, but this may be the better idea! (we are hoping for a total of 14 days spent at WDW over the course of the year)

I really apologize if this has been covered already, but is the price the same for kids? If we went this route, I'm sure that my kids would all get an AP and this plan also. Thanks for all your info, guys! It's really helpful in the decision making process.

I was telling my mother in law about this, and we decided going to WDW was easier when we had no clue what we were doing. Then she said maybe all this will allow us to squeeze in an extra couple of days sometime. :)

Okay, sorry, reading through the links again... apparently one person gets the card and it covers up to a party of ten? Am I reading this right?

I believe that this card can cover up to a party of six only. Anything beyond that requires a manager's approval!! Belle

Yes, that is what I was told by the CM that I spoke with Tues. evening. But others have said it is only 6. BUT, Allearsnet is saying 10 as well. I think this might be new for 2005. :lookaroun Who really knows!!

The Mitsukoshi family of restaurants might not be eligible b/c they're run by an outside corporation (Mitsukoshi is a restaurant company in Japan). I'm guessing that they lease the property where those restaurants are and are choosing not to participate in the program.

It's an old message...I called this morning and everyone was up to speed on the changes and was very accommodating. Surprisingly, they were willing to send me the card even though I currently do not hold a valid AP. I'm not buying my AP until late July and I will call at that time to buy the card and have a letter FAXED or emailed to me at the park or my hotel. This will maximize the use of the card.

This is a great deal and kudos to Disney for opening this up to all Annual passholders.
Hey Tramp, After two days of trying to get through to this office I Am starting to get a bit frustrated. How long did you have to wait on hold before you mnaged to get through? I am approaching two hours combined hold time!!!! Didnt Disney realize how popular this was going to be?? Belle

Yes it really is 20% on food and drinks, EVEN alcohol, if you are the boozer type.

******** edited******

Even if you are on vacation for 1 week, and say spent $100 at dinner 2 separate times, that's $20 each time, for a savings of $40. More than likey most people spend alot more than that on 1 trip and make more than 1 visit per year. So it works out well.

This was always my favorite "Disney Deal" since it was never advertised and kinda like a secret for us "locals", but it also saved us a boatload of $$$ since we are at the parks over 20X per year.

Why do I get the feeling this was directed at me? More importantly, WHY DIDN'T I KNOW ABOUT THIS SOONER???? You guys have been holding out on me!!! We average $100- 150/ meal at least 2-3 times a trip. I could have paid for this card with savings on the last meet alone!

Do you get 20% off drinks at PI? That alone would cover the cost of the card in my case. (just joking :lookaroun )

I waited on hold for about 30 minuets and then gave up. I called the voice mail number (407-560-0031) and left a message that I wanted to join. They called be back about 1 hour later and I got signed up. I asked about special events like the candlelight presentational and they are NOT discounted. I will also be getting the most current list or restaurants which I will post as soon as they arrive.

When did they change the price for Annual Passholders to $50?

I just purchased my DDE a couple of months ago and it was $70 for AP holders.
