I find it so lazy that they keep using the same car for the souvenir dish at these upcharge ice cream shops. It worked for Wreck it Ralph but here, it’s lazy.

They already hav the fun Incredibles obstacle course but if there must be more, I would have gone with an Incredibles lounge. Pick someone else for the ice cream shop. Can’t you just imagine some young Imagineer thinking he was super clever with, “guys, what if Edna Mode opens Edna à la Mode?!?!”

Ugh.

I was on the 4-day preview cruise. This was my first Disney cruise, but not my first cruise. Highlights were the Lion King dinner show and Hercules. Hercules was absolutely fabulous and blew me away! I also thought the Haunted Mansion bar area was really well done, but it was packed to the gills when we stopped in so I didn't stay long.

Happy to answer any questions if I can.

Well since it’s your first Disney ship, and you have no previous bias, how was the layout and elevator situation for you? It’s hotly debated on the wish class of ships.

I had no issues with the layout and found the ship easy to navigate. I had actually read about the confusing layout of the Wish so I asked my cast member friend if the layout had changed, and she said no. I guess I was expecting a maze, and it just seemed pretty straightforward to me. I found Royal Caribbean ships to be much more confusing. The last one we sailed was a headache to navigate.

You literally can hardly tell this is a Disney ship in many spots. Why is the theming getting so vague? Why is just a Disney photo on the wall good enough? Where is the over the top immersion?

I like the Cruella bar, but it looks extremely small. Is there a reason Disney does not scale things to demand and makes them so small?

I don’t mean to be overly negative or critical but when you’re paying the DCL premium , you should expect the “Disney difference” and I just don’t really see it

Which sailing were you on?

I’d never definitively judge something until I experienced it myself. Livestream doesn’t count.

Yours is an odd argument because the original ships while wonderful and magical definitely did not feature “over the top immersion” and many spaces were intentionally not “Disney” at all.
My point is they’ve gotten more basic or less themed in design over the years and I’m entitled to such opinion.
