This is all a joke. Talks about kindness and reducing divisions.
Meanwhile wishes harm on half the country.
Apologies mean nothing to you? Young people aren't allowed or able to evolve their thinking?

Thanks—good to know!I thought this, too, but TP and I had a brief exchange on this about a month ago. I was surprised to see that it's more of a personal choice thing for members of the in group, kind of like how I perceive Latino vs Hispanic to be. The only outright derogatory term starts with an 'm.'
From Little People of America:
"Such terms as dwarf, little person, LP, and person of short stature are all acceptable, but most people would rather be referred to by their name than by a label."
So are dwarves strictly mythical?Well, “dwarfs” if we’re sticking with Disney’s own terminology. I believe they’re supposed to be understood as little men (Snow White call them such) in the original film rather than mythical beings.
Yeah, it seems she made people more angry by apologising rather than less. I’m honestly not sure what she could have done to satisfy those she offended.Apologies mean nothing to you? Young people aren't allowed or able to evolve their thinking?
She didn’t evolve a single thing. She was forced to issue an apology and did.Apologies mean nothing to you? Young people aren't allowed or able to evolve their thinking?

According to @brideck, the spelling popularised by Tolkien is standard in the fantasy genre. I believe the F plural has been used of the mythical beings too, and some (including here) view the Seven Dwarfs in this way, but to me, it’s clear they’re being portrayed as human little men.So are dwarves strictly mythical?
If I wish harm on half the country I don’t expect anyone to forgive me. Especially when I’m being forced to apologize. What makes you an expert on the contents of her head? Would you like everyone here to read all of your posts with the baggage of the worst thing you've ever said on the forum?
Weird I have never viewed the dwarves in Snow White as mythical. The thought never entered my mind. I feel your interpretation is correct as I have just viewed the as little men.According to @brideck, the spelling popularised by Tolkien is standard in the fantasy genre. It actually seems more relevant today…What a reasonable statement this would be in 2012.
Shall we dredge up all the times people you support viciously attacked weaker targets? If I wish harm on half the country I don’t expect anyone to forgive me. Especially when I’m being forced to apologize.
Sure I would love to see it.Shall we dredge up all the times people you support viciously attacked weaker targets?
If you celebrate or even accept cruelty and a coarsening of rhetoric, you don’t get to cry foul when others respond with indelicate or poorly chosen language.
And if @Casper Gutman is to be believed, "the most powerful people in the nation" are the people commenting on celebrities. Or something. I can't quite follow that train of thought he has on that. I assume he's talking about YouTubers.![]()
That’s my take also, I think her emotional rant was how she truly felt and her apology was a business decision. She didn’t evolve a single thing. She was forced to issue an apology and did.
Going out on a limb? Not said it in the first place.I’m honestly not sure what she could have done to satisfy those she offended.
How did you figure this out so quickly?Going out on a limb? Not said it in the first place.
The movie Wargames had it right: “strange game, the only winning move is not to play,”
I would hope we can all be forgiven for our misdeeds if we apologise for them. It would be a miserable world indeed that denied us the opportunity to make amends for our mistakes. If I wish harm on half the country I don’t expect anyone to forgive me. Especially when I’m being forced to apologize.
You're right, I don't. I expect that people can follow a thread string. I know you and a few others here are big on yelling at people who don't read an entire article or comment on a show or movie without seeing it... So what's different? because you support Zegler? This is a forum, you are accusing me of "fudging" as if I'm trying to paint some narrative. Give me a break. You took one snip of a conversation and said, see look at all unfair treatment of Zegler. The post that I quoted and commented on was doing just that. You don’t agree, and that’s fine. Others can decide for themselves.
Your take away is the concept of one sided victimization? The guiding principle seems to be, “I and the people I empower and support can say anything they want about you but if you say anything about me it’s an atrocity.”
