Do you think he would have received criticism if people associated him more strongly with Disney?Again Disney is a lightning rod.

You seem intentionally obtuse on this issue and the timing/context in which it came, when countless pogroms were being visited on Israelis and non-Israeli Jews alike across the world. For someone who can find malevolent forces and intent on any host of issues, there seems to be a glaring blind spot here. Why is that?this is a very late addition to the controversy and I can’t find the comments you are referring to. The only comments from Zegler that I can find seem fairly firmly within the mainstream of respectable discourse. If I’m missing explicit support for terrorist groups, let me know.
Incidentally, I think much of the rage directed at Gadot on this issue is unseemly at best and borders on hateful in many cases. I doubt I’d agree with either Zegler or Gadot on the issue, but neither seems to have said anything particularly repugnant regarding one of the most incendiary issues of our time.
Feel free to explain which of Zegler’s comments you find inflammatory. You seem intentionally obtuse on this issue and the timing/context in which it came, when countless pogroms were being visited on Israelis and non-Israeli Jews alike across the world. We should probably discuss it as a film and drop the pathological obsession with Zegler, whether implicit or explicit. We need to find a way to discuss Snow White without getting so much into politics.
Work on your reading comprehension.Same users as always obtusely calling other users racist.
This goes back to my post about news (and other outlets) writing about what will get clicks, hard to get upset about something if you never hear about it.That shouldn’t stop them from criticising him, should it?
But there are people in this thread who now have heard about it and are responding with silence or indifference—some of the same people who have had an awful lot to say about Zegler’s remarks. This goes back to my post about news (and other outlets) writing about what will get clicks, hard to get upset about something if you never hear about it.
If others aren’t writing about it people aren’t going to care, and if it’s a pretty normal criticism “(politician) is ruining the country” it’s really not a very controversial thing to say to begin with.
Work on not making everything you say about race and politics.Work on your reading comprehension.
The indifference is likely because it’s normal to criticize a politician, we’ve all said (Trump/Biden/Newsom/DeSantis) is ruining the country/state at some point or another, hopefully none of us have wished “no peace” on the other side though. On the outrage scale ones a 2 out of 10, the others an 8 out of 10.But there are people in this thread who now have heard about it and are responding with silence or indifference—some of the same people who have had an awful lot to say about Zegler’s remarks.
Sure, the media bears a lot of responsibility for what it amplifies, but at some point, we have to take stock of our own biases and choices.
As I’ve pointed out multiple times, the outrage was there long before she said anything political. But we live in a world where Cameron saying America is “turn[ing] away from everything decent” rates lower on the outrage scale than Zegler voicing a few harmless opinions about an old film. It just isn’t normal. The indifference is likely because it’s normal to criticize a politician, we’ve all said (Trump/Biden/Newsom/DeSantis) is ruining the country/state at some point or another, hopefully none of us have wished “no peace” on the other side though. That’s your scale, definitely not mine. The indifference is likely because it’s normal to criticize a politician, we’ve all said (Trump/Biden/Newsom/DeSantis) is ruining the country/state at some point or another, hopefully none of us have wished “no peace” on the other side though. Well I don’t know what he said. But if it was on par with Zeglars statement then yes, massive criticism.Do you think he would have received criticism if people associated him more strongly with Disney?
Here’s the link again:Well I don’t know what he said. But if it was on par with Zeglars statement then yes, massive criticism.
I wish the “no peace” could be limited to the side who voted for itnone of us have wished “no peace” on the other side though.
He just sounds like another Hollywood Radical in that statement. Unless I missed something he didn’t personally attack me.
Is there a world in which James Cameron would personally attack you?He just sounds like another Hollywood Radical in that statement. Unless I missed something he didn’t personally attack me.
Sounds like he will go hyperventilate somewhere else now.
I’m sure I’m just missing the joke here. Your not saying you want no peace for people who want peace right ?I wish the “no peace” could be limited to the side who voted for it![]()
