Going further, nobody should spend money and be loyal to a brand because they used to make products you loved in the past. Those days are long gone. This is well-said. No one should be spending money on something that makes them unhappy.
I was gonna give a straight up assessment…but the mods don’t need more workA fun poster who used to be here a lot, and who was known as a warm and loveable person who could spark fun conversation with just a single post of a sentence or two.
Trust me, he's missed.![]()
Exactly…which means the relationship is “unbalanced”…and it needs a correction like everyone’s 401KGoing further, nobody should spend money and be loyal to a brand because they used to make products you loved in the past.
It seems to me that Disney fans love the brand MUCH more than the people in Burbank love their fans. We need to see Burbank the exact same way they see us.
I think the refs gave him a game misconduct last yearWhen did they leave?
That's probably true, given the number of people who complain and still go to Disney movies and parks. Some correction is definitely going on there.Going further, nobody should spend money and be loyal to a brand because they used to make products you loved in the past. Those days are long gone.

Buddy Thomas…I would have been lurking this site at that time. I don’t recall someone named buddy.
A shrinking number in a growing worldBut don't forget the large numbers who buy Disney products because they love them the way they are now.
So was the good conversation thing sarcasm then?Buddy Thomas…
Dammit…now it’s been said again
He used to jump in on mostly movie talk Air all kinds of grievances all over the map…
Spray…like a “semi-literary” machine gun
Probably not. We'll see how it goes.A shrinking number in a growing world
So that doesn’t line up very well
You think any young actor that is getting started in the business now and seeing other actors get bullied and dragged through the mud online by franchise fans are looking to get into that? I don't think so, it takes a toll on a person. Any sane person would steer clear of that for as long as possible. Or would try to take a break from it after already experiencing it, ie do other things for awhile before jumping into another franchise and the potential mud.Totally agree. The point I was making, and I get it, I don't know what's for sure going through their mind. Is that the overwhelming majority got into it for the fame and lifestyle. That doesn't mean I think they don't love acting. But I can't see many wanting the scrutiny and lack of privacy and all that goes with it unless they want the fame and lifestyle. I'm sure there's some because it's never everyone or no one.
I’m not sure…they banned sarcasm in New Jersey…so I’m not allowed to evaluate itSo was the good conversation thing sarcasm then?

I get it, some here can't understand why someone trying to get business aren't doing franchises for the fame and fortune that go along with it. But that isn't the end all be all for actors.
Absolutely. Because what you say is going to happen no matter what. You don't seek out the Hollywood spotlight unless you crave and want it. Otherwise you can be a stage actor, Broadway... There's plenty of options if you're in it for the love of acting. You think any young actor that is getting started in the business now and seeing other actors get bullied and dragged through the mud online by franchise fans are looking to get into that?
Exactly! Any sane person. So going into it, you have to want it. But some get in and decide, huh, maybe I really don't want this. But the majority start off seeking that fame and fortune in my opinion.Any sane person would steer clear of that for as long as possible. Blink twice if you need help.As a matter of fact yes, I will be seeing it twice in the theater. Burbank worked VERY hard on this movie and put a ton of extra attention into it to get it right. I support Burbank efforts with this movie and will buy two tickets for it.
No problem there…. Happily married…. We will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary in MayWow good luck in your relationships.
