Probably not. We'll see how it goes.

I don't know a lot of people who would spend money on something they don't like anymore just because it used to be good and they are hoping it will go back to the way it was. Maybe a restaurant or local business, but not an expensive vacation like Disney.

It's different with movies, since content is so changeable.

That doesn't mean I think they don't love acting. But I can't see many wanting the scrutiny and lack of privacy and all that goes with it unless they want the fame and lifestyle. You think any young actor that is getting started in the business now and seeing other actors get bullied and dragged through the mud online by franchise fans are looking to get into that? I don't think so, it takes a toll on a person. Any sane person would steer clear of that for as long as possible. Or would try to take a break from it after already experiencing it, ie do other things for awhile before jumping into another franchise and the potential mud.

I get it, some here can't understand why someone trying to get business aren't doing franchises for the fame and fortune that go along with it. But that isn't the end all be all for actors.

Absolutely. Because what you say is going to happen no matter what. You don't seek out the Hollywood spotlight unless you crave and want it. Otherwise you can be a stage actor, Broadway... There's plenty of options if you're in it for the love of acting.

Exactly! Any sane person. So going into it, you have to want it. But some get in and decide, huh, maybe I really don't want this. But the majority start off seeking that fame and fortune in my opinion.

Interestingly enough, this theater is a Disney Focus Group location where they continually do audience surveys.

That might have been true back even 10-15 years ago, but times are different now. Young people in Hollywood are more social media savvy now. They have seen what happens in the large franchises of the world, and what happens when fans get upset, and aren't running toward that.

I think people here have a different idea of what true fame and fortune are.

Conditions in Hollywood have changed Constantly for 100 years…
At one time they drank 18 hours a day…under lifetime contract for Pennies…and had to get garage abortions if it interfered with their shooting schedule…

Now social media and its drawbacks are part of the deal.

That’s life

They still want fame and fortune because it’s what life tells you to want.

You’re building an elaborate construct of actors that are not getting the right work after movies with stink on them.

Maybe it’s not this hard?
