It cost me over 2000 with spending money last time I went. If I am not happy with the park why should I spend my money. Everyone needs to realize this is my opinion. No one has to agree but please dont insult me.

First off your first post was a little much! It was too long, spelling errors, and totally uncalled for.

Secondly I am a true believer in you make or brake your own vacation and your own specail memeories. If you have a bad additude the whole time you will have a bad trip.

I do agree, I think you should leave! I think that not only are you not wanted, but you don't want to be here either. You just want to come in and start some stuff and leave!

Bryansbaby - can I ask your motive in posting on these boards? Were you looking for other members here to try to change your mind (because you seem pretty steadfast)? Were you hoping to find someone that agrees with you(remember, this is a FAN site)? I'm just not sure what kind of response you were looking for.

Sure, you are entitled to your opinion. I just wouldn't go to a Miami Dolphins Fan message board and post how I hate them and refuse to go to their games (maybe that isn't so great of an analogy).

And sorry your intelligence was insulted. But being educated, I think you would make similar judgements if reading something with poor spelling, grammar mistakes and no paragraph breaks. (Although that's not an excuse for rudeness or name calling)

OK, I read 4 pages of responses before I decided to post. WOW, do we all have strong opinions or what? :lookaroun

...

I hope to see you again on here. Welcome! :)
Ok, HunnyPot is obviously much better at stating things in a calm manner than I, hence the Pooh in her avatar! :)

If you really intend to become a contributing member of this board, you'll have to learn to ignore the initial flames if you start a thread that has different opinions from other vocal members.

Once the initial flameage settles down, more reasonable discussion can occur. Maybe not in the same thread, but somewhere....

Enough with the spelling errors....let it go. And I did not mean to cause any trouble. I was upset with changes that have happened and are continuing to happen. I have not been to WDW in afew years and have worked very hard for a trip I was planning for next year. I am unhappy with the fact that many of my favorite rides are gone. And that is my right. Everyone else started insulting me, calling me ignorant, uneducated, a jerk. That was uncallled for. I have made the best of all my trips to WDW. It was always my favorite place and now I am sad because I feel like it wont be the same WDW i knew. And if that is a problem I am sorry but it is my opinion and I have a right to it. I dont care whether you want me here or now, I'm here and I;m staying so Deal with it.

Educated or not , it was in the heat of the moment. I read something and I was mad. I was typing fast and wasn't thinking to even check it. I think you all should really calm down with the spelling and grammar. I know I am very well educated and thats all that matters. My typing is another story. When I type to fast things get crazy.I am extremely intelligent and no one I know has ever questioned that. This post was obviously a mistake on my part....My opinion wasn't a mistake but I guess I assumed some people had the same opinions regarding the changes. And anyways I was just as big of a fan as any of you. I have memory books dating from 1974, I collect disney memorabilia, I regularly checked disney fan sites, I have the WDW soundtracks in my car and listen to them whenever I am alone or can convince the other people in the car to listen, I always watch my home videos from WDW, read books on Walt DIsney...WDW used to make me a lot happier at one point and I miss that. I am concerned about WDW. I am worried that its not gonna be recognizable in a few years. I just wanted to express my opinion ....not be insulted because of it.

But thats the thing, it IS the same Walt Disney World. Some of the things change, but all of them change for a reason. The only "mistake" that I can really argue for is closing Mr. Toad. However, Pooh is wildly popular, so it looks like they did ok. All the other closings/refurbs/rethemes have been warranted. Even the rides that you hold dear.

That said, you mentioned that most of your trips were between 3 and 7. Thats 13 years ago. How can you expect Disney to remain the same? How would they draw people back in? The thing about theme parks is that you always have to have something new. Otherwise, they go stale and attendance goes down. Six Flags is starting to find this out, and thats why they are doing awful.

Like I said previously, you need to take the trip you are planning and enjoy the things you haven't experienced yet. What year was your last trip?

Maybe you should change your member name to BRYANSCRYBABY06290?

Sorry you had such a bad time.

I also want to let you know that I posted on two other boards and everyone was much more supportive. They did not all agree but they encourouged me to try WDW again, and felt bad that I felt the way I did. They discussed what specificially i didn't like, agreed on some points, not on others. We talked about old rides we missed, new rides we like or dont like. GAve me advice on how to possibly enjoy the changes and tried to understand. They respected how I felt and felt bad because they knew what a huge WDW fan I was, and still am in most respects. I am just worried that by the time I go next year, if I do, then every thing I was looking forward to seeing will be gone. No one insulted me or my grammar or made me feel like an idiot. They were civilized and considerate.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to express your opinion about all things Disney on this board!

However, no matter how well educated and intelligent you are, you still need to abide by some commonly accepted posting rules...such as hitting return after every few sentences.

It doesn't really matter if you have your thoughts organized in a coherent fashion where a paragraph break every few sentences makes sense. Any break in a long-winded post makes it that much easier to digest.

I'm sorry if I'm coming across as a hard-a$$, but your posts really would be so much better if you actually used paragraph breaks every now and then.

How about a link to the other threads. I'd like to read them.

I find it hard to compare things from years ago to how they are now without actually experiencing them.

OR don't judge a park by its internet discussion.

"The Golden Age Never was the Current Age"

Looking back with a nostalgic eye will always lead to frusteration about the present day state of the parks.......they will never be as "good" as they were "back then"........in 2035, you will probably say "back in 2005, the park was so clean, and the attractions so much better than today"

Please, for god's sake, stop mentioning your education. It means nothing. If you can't properly interact with people, it doesn't matter how educated you are. I'm 22, and have a salary in the high six figures. I skipped out on college after a year to start my own business. So no, I don't have a worthless piece of paper hanging in my living room. However, with my stocks and salary, I'll be retired by the time I'm 35. What do you have to say to that? Education means nothing. Your spelling and grammar is fine, just use some double spaced paragraphs a little more often. Makes things much easier to read.

WDW is always going to be recognizable. It is THE family vacation destination. Just because WDW has eliminated a couple of a and b ticket attractions does not mean they are going to immediately fold up shop. The new attractions they have put in to replace those attractions are undeniably Disney.

You're right, you have a right to your informed opinion. However, since its been a while since you've gone to WDW, it isn't an informed opinion. You've been there before, true. However, what you are trying to do is akin to saying the new "War of the Worlds" movie was bad because the original one was bad. You have to experience it before you can form an informed opinion on it.

A link to the other board? here... disney world - INTERCOT walt disney world information guide - discussion boards this is one of the boards....go into the theme park forum and its the same heading.....no one insulted me....everyone was considerate and mature....check it out if you dont believe me.

Quite honestly, you have been making a big deal out of the "attacks" that you have received. There's only been a couple of people that were rude in all the replies this thread has received. I'm sure they will be dealt with in the near future.

When you take into the account that this board has 3 times the amount of users online right now and has a bigger audience, you will see more rotten apples in the barrel. The thread over at Intercot has had 16 replies. this one has almost 140 replies. BIG difference!

I'm not judging the other rides or the park. I have seen many of the newer rides and loved them...that dosen;t change how I feel about the older rides being closed down.

But at least those 16 replies made sense...helped me feel better....have the posts in here are insults or are nonsense comments and about 10 are political and are not at all about the topic.
