Did I Really Just See That.....in Disney World?????

July of '09 was my last trip.

The South American tour groups apparently like to add their own soundtracks to the shows. Lots of chanting. Usually a CM would quiet them up quickly. But it was astonishing that even attempted it during Cirque du Soleil!

At Beauty and the Beast in DHS was another annoying breakout of chanting.

Also, during watching the belly dancer at Morocco... some young women who had too much to drink at the other countries decided to mimic the belly dancer. But in the nearby fountain XD

I must admit, I'm a bit confused here...where is the 'big no no'? He went to the bathroom...and he washed his hands afterwards, then went back to work. CMs are still human beings who do have normal bodily functions

Technically CMs are not supposed to use guest restrooms (there are restrooms backstage for CMs).

That's so crazy!!! And of course, these people weren't even escorted out of the theater(s), etc.

I have a feeling we were a topic of conversation on our last trip. Upon checking into the POP with my ex wife and kids, the CM asked what we were celebrating, to which I replied " our divorce". After she stopped laughing and composed herself, she proceeded to write divorce on my ex wife and my celebration buttons. This was definitely an ice breaker everywhere we went. :ROFLOL:

I've got two (both incidents occured on the same day by coincedence). The first is sad because it involved a wee boy getting 'leathered' by his dad. The father hit him across the hands with a leather belt in the Kilimonjaro Safari line. The boy was only about aged 3 and was crying, which made his mother cry too. It was apparent the dad was a mean guy. We didn't know where to look and felt bad for not intervening. We were not scared of squaring up to the guy at all but we were afraid to make things worse for the mother if we had. We got the impression he was heavier handed at home. And I just couldn't believe I was witnessing this at WDW of all places.

The other is actually quite funny and my picture says it all. It was the middle of the day at AK bus lot. And as I waited for the bus, I stood out at the railings and played around with my camera. I wasn't really taking any pictures as such because I was trying to see what the shutter speed in intense sunshine would be. Anyway...as I was doing this, at the same time I clicked my camera, a disgruntled driver stuck his fingers up at me - quite prolonged as well and he wasn't joking by the look on his face. I didn't even want to take his picture, and I didn't mean to either. I couldn't believe it - yet again  I didn't report him because I found it funny but he was actually rude. Enjoy....

That is not an obscene gesture here in the States. That bus driver thought he was saying peace.

That's exactly what I see.
Giving what we call the "peace sign" with the palm facing the giver is considered an insult in the United Kingdom. The bus driver thought he was saying "peace" not realizing that the person who took his picture is from Scotland, where his gesture would be considered onscene.

I know there's trailers behind World Showcase that have CM break rooms and restrooms...but still, it didn't seem like a big no-no to me.

Cst Members are definitely not supposed to use guest bathrooms. Cast Members are not supposed to be seen doing things like that by the guests. I remember having to hold in a sneeze till I got backstage one time haha, a little extreme I guess, but i dont think anyone would like to see their server sneeze around their food :p. Im surprised this happened, Id feel so awkward using a guest bathroom!

That's exactly true. He had his palm towards his face which is classed as obsene here. I didn't realize it was different in the US . But to be honest, his face didn't say 'peace' to me, it was more like 'get lost'. And I'm quite a rational person, it takes a lot for me to even care about what someone says and does. So, I'm afraid that I'm still convinced that he V'd me because his palm was to his face.

Yeah, I feel kinda weird at work when I do have to sneeze and holding it in isn't physically possible. I don't want my customers worrying about germs...but come on, everyone does it. I'd feel a bit awkward using a guest bathroom too, but when ya gotta go and can't hold it...

Saw a similar instance in line for Star Tours. While we were in the que all of the sudden a boy in front of us pulls down his pants and his mother hands him an empty soda bottle. He just stood there and went in the bottle in front of everyone. I couldn't believe it.
