Was swimming with the kids at the main pool at POR. My dd(3) had to go to the restroom (which she seems to do every 20 mins while she's swimming). There are two steps that lead up the porch to the restroom area by the pool and I watch this older man look at them and then turn around and proceed to go in the bushes right in front of everyone.
thats disgusting. :|

right? When i first moved to Texas 8 years ago people still regularly smoked inside work places. I was like *** when my ex came home smelling like cigarettes from his crappy telemarketing job.

I live in Texas, and am glad that's not allowed in my area. I suffer from migraines and cigarette smoke is one of my triggers, and also can make me gag anyways. UGH I don't know how people smoke... whoops got side-tracked.

Well, I'm just courteous and still sport the chivalry.

I'm in my sixties and according to my daughter, don't look it (she's vying for a large inheritance, I think), but I will still give up my seat for a parent holding a small child/infant, someone who is obviously older than I am or someone with a mobility issue but who wasn't on a scooter. Unless I've managed to walk my feet off or injured myself (did that once, got to remember there are BIG curbs on Main Street).

I can stand on the bus on my way in, with no problem. After a day in the park on a bad leg, I need to sit, and I might give up my seat for someone older (which is getting hard to find) or disabled, but a healthy female has stronger legs then mine, I will remain seated and not feel a twitch of guilt. Chivalry, in this day and age, needs to work both ways.

Healthy(ish) young (ish) female here. I would not be offended AT ALL if I wasn't offered a seat on a crowded bus. Seriously, everyone's feet hurt after a day in the park and I wore my big girl panties and can deal.

It's not as much chivalry as it is common decency. Because healthy(ish) young(ish) women should offer up seats to elders, parents with small children, and disabled just as quick as their equivalent male counterparts.

I like all of this, except for the "I wore my big girl panties" part. That's one of those sayings I wish they'd ban from existence (along with YOLO, 'totes', & cray). No offense. :)

hahahah probably.... but they are literally big girl panties with control top fit and a comfort waistband. They help me stand on long bus rides while no being offered a seat from a chauvinistic male. #unnecessaryhashtag

well last time I went was 4 years ago i think and my moment was in Tomorrow Land a little kid came out of the family restroom that's near Space Mountain with their drawers in hand (as in streaking) to one of their parents while the other ran after the kid. I laughed at these folks too, thought to myself forget them if they aint gonna control their kid they deserve the embarrassment that comes with having one.

BTW, reality check folks you DO NOT call 911 for a case of corporal punishment that a parent deals tho their kid. 911 is for EMERGENCY use only, call 911 for a parent spanking their kid WILL get you either fined or arrested for falsely report and that's what the police will say about the incident. You are SUPPOSED to call the police and ONLY the police for things like domestic troubles.
Secondly folks if you see a scene of someone publicly peeing or publicly nude say something don't just ignore it, that's half the problem in the country right now.
And finally thirdly, for line cutters stop them by cutting them off like some have said they done or report them to a cast member cause once you get past a point you can forget about it cause its too late.

This is so unbelievable that I can't believe I actually saw it but had three others with me to back me up. We were on our way to EPCOT one morning on the water taxi when an older couple (I assume grandparents) boarded with their young grandson and grandaughter. The kids were probably 4 and 6. They were speaking what I believe was French and were dressed in coordinating gray and black shirts. They appeared fine from the front, but when they sat down in front of us, the grandmother's shirt read in English on the back "young boys are only for sexual toys"!!!! I thought I would faint! Perhaps they didn't understand the writing in English, but if you are at WDW, you understand quite a bit of it! I didn't know if I should tell them for fear of offending them if they did know it or offending them if they didn't! I hope a CM said something to them. Isn't there a rule about shirts with offensive language on them?

One person's corporal punishment is child abuse to another and for the most part, those outside the situation can tell the difference. My wife is a school teacher and therefore a mandated reporter and if she suspects that a child is being abused, specifically seeing the abuse happen, then she will be calling 911 to protect the child.
Additionally, if there is line cutting going on, I would advise contacting a CM and not confronting the person. The world is full of crazy people these days and you really don't want your expensive vacation ruined by getting injured.

Here's my "did that just happen" moment...Several years ago, we were stopping at Pecos Bill's at MK for lunch and I went to the seating area to snag tables for our rather large party and I saw a woman changing her baby's dirty diaper right on top of one of the tables. She even rested the used wipes on the table as well. She finished the job and put the dirty stuff in the trash can and didn't even bother to try and wipe down the table afterwards. I alerted a CM and they quickly cleaned the table, but now we carry disinfectant wipes and also wipe down our table before we eat.

You missed his point. 911 is not for CPS / police only matters. He wasnt saying dont report it, he was saying call the appropriate number (which takes 30 seconds to google it in todays world...)

Funny story on that.. My SIL was picking up her kids at school and they have a minivan. The kids got in and sat down and put headphones on to watch tv. They forgot to close the door and they could not hear her with the headphones on. So she yelled to shut the door. Well a few hours later the police show up at her door. Someone had called the cops on her for yelling at her kids to shut the door. They asked to speak to the kids who were in the bath. So she got them out and the cops asked if they got yelled at and they shrugged and said " I don't know". LOL The kids didn't even remember that she raised her voice for them to hear her. Who calls the cops on someone who raises their voice to their kids? We would all be in jail. o_O

Here in Phoenix, AZ it is 120°+ in the sun and a couple of minutes in a closed car is enough to damage to anyone, especially children. If I saw children in a closed car I would call 911 in an instant.

I've been reading these posts for a while and decided not to post; however, when I read yours, I had to tell what happened to me, not at WDW. I pulled into our local library parking lot next to a car and noticed that there was a baby sleeping in a car seat in the back(one of those ones for infants) and the window was cracked an inch and the doors were unlocked! I was shocked and just decided to wait til someone came back. Well, I wait for 20plus minutes and a young mom came out. I rolled down my window and told her that I was just about to call the police and I just might still do it. I told her that her child could have been crying, choking, or taken by anyone passing by!!!! I let her have it. She just ducked her head and got into the car and buzzed out of there. I hope the fact that I spoke up got to her, but I doubt it. I couldn't believe anyone would leave a baby in the car alone for that long. I still think parents should be licensed!!!

This happened at Uni not Disney, but while I was waiting for the next train at Dragon Challenge to pull up, a guy about 25 with HUGE earrings and a Mohawk walks up to his friend next to me and comments on how stoned he was. We then get on the coaster and hes saying crazy things this whole time and screaming in a strange high pitched voice. When we got off the ride he kept saying "Woooaaaah." It was really strange.

Wooooaaah...I bet not as strange as it was for him.

THIS guy, sleeping the sleep of the dead at the foot of the Monsters, Inc. playground at Epcot last week. I hope I've attached his picture correctly, because I love this guy. Someone (not my family, because we were laughing too hard) alerted a CM but he woke up and scurried off right before they found him.

We have one more day here in Orlando, and it has been so fun, but I have seen some awful things. On Saturday in line for the jungle, a young 6 year old began to cry....it was a long line...and mom turned and screamed "shut the F up!!" "Get out of here I don't want you!" All of us froze....I have been known to speak up but I was mortified beyond speech.

That's the point where park security escorts her to the gates for a nice friendly chat with Orange County PD and state DFCS reps.

"Have a magical day!"

While I'm not a prude when it comes to the occasional F-bomb and wouldn't be in favor of "Demolition Man" style language police in the parks, if you're using that kind of language as a means to discipline a SIX YEAR OLD CHILD, you are a horrible person and deserve to not only have your kids taken away, but also have your genitals cauterized to prevent further reproduction.

What is the funniest/strangest/weirdest/most shocking thing you have overheard at WDW while in line, in a crowd, on a ride, etc? It can be from overhearing a complete stranger's conversation, or something you heard your kids say.
