That could be in a different drainage basin so would be permitted desperately.
The question is, how desperately

Yep once we have more than two or three threads. More than likely once Toy Story Land begins. Can we now have a dedicated DHS construction forum?
Please please pretty please
The first garage could go in the first area. It wont interfere with the other parking lots.

Thank you for all your work sifting through these permits danlb! I'm sure everyone here appreciates that you take the time to do the (probably very) tedious job of reading through all these documents and spreading the news.
Groundbreaking for Walt Disney World took place on May 30, 1967.Wasn't MK built in under 2 years? I know there is more tech today to incorporate but also there is more tech to help build faster.. ha
There are light bulbs. That tell you. If the spot. Is open. Let that sink in.Heck, look how long it has taken to build a garage at Disney Springs. It will take them 3 years to build just that! LOL

Yep, they know people are going to come no matter what. That's why they have been stringing things out over the past few years. DHS is in the gutter now though, so we may actually see them turn it on up to 10 for the first time in a long time.I don't think comparison to MK construction is the best comparison because that was starting from scratch. However, I agree with the post you quoted in the sense that Disney could get stuff built a lot faster if they chose to. They just deliberately choose not to. They go with the lowest bidder contractor, only have them work Mon-Fri 9-5, weekends and holidays off with very little third shift work except where necessary. This is why construction projects at WDW take forever.

I also noticed that under where it says L402-12 it says 24.91 AC. Could that mean that the area inside that border is 24.91 acres? If so, then once you take off the top area where Echo Lake is (assuming it is still not included), and possibly add in the top part of the front half of CM parking lot, then perhaps we can get an idea of the SWL area. And maybe it's just me but the area doesn't seem to be as big as I thought it would be if that's the case.
I did a quick measurement on Google Earth, and verified that those numbers are acres.

And don't get me started on the gardens growing down the side of the building.
the parking deck you allude to was built in 13 monthsHeck, look how long it has taken to build a garage at Disney Springs. It will take them 3 years to build just that! LOL

And if they are anything like the ones at my airport parking garage half of them will not work right. There are light bulbs. That tell you. If the spot. Is open. Let that sink in.
They were working perfectly when we were there in late August. We were all quite impressed with the whole garage.@AJH219 , you've been to the Disney Springs garages, do the vacancy/no vacancy lighting system appear to function properly? Or are they like those in CLE's parking garage?
We have them in our little po-dunk airport here in Jacksonville Fl and they seem to work great. The only time I have seen one report a empty space full or vice versa is when someone can't park between the lines or when something like a luggage cart got left in a space. And if they are anything like the ones at my airport parking garage half of them will not work right.
