Yeah, there are differences. I never said they were absolutely 100% identical, but the current Mickey is designed based off of the original Mickey rather than more modern ones.

When I clicked on it this morning, it took me to this thread, and I commented on the sign in the picture.
Born in 1971, these represent Mickey to me:
But that’s just me/my generation. I get that things change.
The sign looks fine, and I like it better than “TV.” It will add a little to the lot IMO.

I would imagine the average guest will find characters easier to remember, and honestly, that’s most important in parking markers.

Also truth be told the articulateds are easy to drive. People get intimidated because it's 60' plus long, but really it's two 30 footers. That being said a thirty foot bus has a shorter turning radius than the forties . So when you boil it all down the real item that would keep the Artic's from making the Aruba turn is the " limiters". They give the driver an audible signal when the bus bends beyond a set amount, they can easily continue to bend however a shut down feature kicks in that actually cuts the motor. And requires a mechanic to come over and override it so you can straighten it out again. So six of one half dozen of the other either way Aruba is the kink .

I drove an Articulating Bus once and all I could think of was a stubby parking lot tram. It seemed to me that like the trams the two piece tram train just followed almost exactly in the same spot as the wheels at the rear of the lead bus. I was able to get around every corner and circle that I could with a 40 footer. Backing up is another story, but, we were always told never to back up anyway.

At least the new sign structures are better than the old. I wouldn't say every park's lot names are precisely reflective of their respective themes but this change certainly highlights the current company's misunderstanding of a theme park.
The new bus loop flags are the DCA style fake flags, whereas the DHS entrance still uses real flags that blow in the wind. They should go with one or the other.
