Thank you. Do we have an arial view showing where the gates are located? I do not know how many numbers are on each side, etc

In the photos, you can see that:
  • 1-8 are at the 1st platform, with 8 being closest to the walkway
  • 9-18 are at the 2nd platform, with 9 being closest
  • 19-30 are at the 3rd platform, with 30 being closest
  • 31-40 are at the 4th platform, with 31 being closest

No, there has always been both boat and bus service between Epcot & DHS. The buses run regardless of whether the boats are running or not.

The buses to the Epcot resorts run only when the boats are down.

A Hogwarts Express solution between parks could prove a great solution especially if could run in any weather.

Oh and profitable too as an upcharge through magicband technology. If classified as an attraction as opposed to simply transportation.

Agreed, that the new MGM entrance looks great, and it felt great when I was there a month or so ago. It's also got a perfect merge point with the walkway to Crescent Lake.

Such terrific changes both in park and out may cause me to start calling MGM by its proper name of Hollywood Studios. ;)

Do the busses all drop off in one area then move to the loading zone or do they unload and load at the "gates"?

Having a designated drop off could allow for more flexible loading to cut down on waiting through dynamic dispatching.
There is no designated drop-off area, as there is at DS. However, based on past practice, if a bus does not have a dispatch (e.g. being shut down for the afternoon or no replacement driver immediately available), they might drop off in the charter loop (aka the former temporary bus loop.) That might also happen in the morning if a bus is dropping off at Studios, and then going to an Epcot resort to pick up for another park.

Since the lots will be themed to star wars, mickey mouse, toy story, and frozen, here's which characters I would've put to represent these movies. Star Wars: BB-8 and Hondo Ohnaka. Mickey Mouse: Mickey and Minnie. Toy Story: Buzz and Jessie. Frozen: Olaf and Sven

The bus line doesn’t have to be one long straight line
Medical parking doesn’t have to take priority over the other delivery mechanisms/entrance needs. It’s more about its placement verse other parking


I think the biggest piece (no pun) is they’ve made the bus terminal something of such scale and you’ve done all this right at grade... so there is incentive to keep it “off to the side” because you don’t want it to be the full focus and drag on your entrance design. I just don’t like how Disney is making this transportation option less and less attractive... all awhile leaning on it so heavily. Give the buses more priority than the trams IMO.... you don’t want people driving and yet you give them prime space?
Actually, according to the Dept of Justice, under the ADA, when restriping a parking lot there is a standard for the number of Accessable spaces and rules for their location:


Location
Accessible parking spaces must be located on the shortest accessible route of travel to an accessible facility entrance. Where buildings have multiple accessible entrances with adjacent parking, the accessible parking spaces must be dispersed and located closest to the accessible entrances.
When accessible parking spaces are added in an existing parking lot or structure, locate the spaces on the most level ground close to the accessible entrance. An accessible route must always be provided from the accessible parking to the accessible entrance. An accessible route never has curbs or stairs, must be at least 3 feet wide, and has a firm, stable, slip-resistant surface. The slope along the accessible route should not be greater than 1:12 in the direction of travel.

Correct - but they aren't going to make you put a parking lot in the middle of something just so the accessible parking can be as close as possible to the entrance. Your accessible parking typically is your closest parking... That's why the handicap parking at DLR is at toy story and the M&F structure... not in the middle of the esplanade. And why Disney can put this big promenade out in front of EPCOT and DHS... without worrying about moving the handicap parking further away. It's still the closest parking and on an accessible route.

So Contemporary and Wilderness lodge continue to share a bus. I feel like as Wilderness Lodge has continued to grow with the two DVC expansions they should have split them. They're close, but even the All-Stars have three separate buses.
