DHS CARS LAND

Cars Land has not been scrapped and I wouldn't rule out Star Wars for sometime beyond 2018.

Star Wars needs to happen NOW. It cannot wait until 2018 or beyond. Regardless of the new films, in the time that it will take to build anything significant (and we all know how fast Disney builds these days), how much further gone will the parks be?

Someone needs to light a fire under TDO's collective and get them in gear because this is just getting ridiculous.

Star Wars is still insanely popular and with a new movie in 2015 and Disney behind them, it will only continue to grow. Star Wars also has a successful cartoon series that is loved by many kids and adults currently airing on Cartoon Network. The amount of Star Wars Halloween costumes this year blew the boy wizard out of the water, and this is just the calm before the storm.

Yes well unfortunately one company has theme park rights to Star Wars and another has rights to the Boy Who Lived. And only one of them is actually doing anything substantial with it at the moment.

Disney needs to start construction this spring if they want to beat the crap out of Universal. This includes shutting down LMA and Backlot within 3 months.

As it stands, right now, there is no "Star Wars Land". There is nothing to happen now.
Not in the US anyway.

What they should be able to do and what they actually do are two different things. Cities get built in China in the time it will take Disney to build a simple kiddie coaster.
Except that things like buildings and bridges in China are built with inferior materials and tend to implode or explode.

There has to be a reason for this. Not even blue-skying it at this point is massive stupidity. Is it a matter of resources or priorities? OK, the line for Star Tours is sometimes short, but the line for Jedi training is always long. So it's just not us old farts that saw it in the theaters.

It's closer than everyone thinks

wouldnt it be smart to go with a Star Wars land now? Saying the taget date for the new movie is around 2015,2016 that could be right a round the point the land could open...plus after watching all 6 movies this weekend my head was spinning with all of the possibilities(still hoping that one day i will get the opprotunity to eat at Mos Eisley cantina!)...Disney is sitting on a gold mine and doing nothing with it!
