They have been working on that fo the past couple of months, sas completed a couple of weeks back.I may have missed it and it's not directly related, but when did RnRC's buildings get a new paint scheme? I thought they were still painted that same "soundstage coral" color...

Not true, we've already been through this. If Disneyland has so much room, where is the hotel going?I am going to reiterate my speculation that Galaxys Edge in HS is going to be smaller than in Disneyland. Perhaps not the total footprint, but it is so crushed in on all sides by the Muppet Theater and TSL etc, it is looking way more cramped than what we see in Disneyland, especially considering the lands run together over there (frontierland meshes seamlessly compared to HS. They are probably both nearing the time where they are fleshed out enough to do some overhead measuring of buildings and such, which I will do at some point, but it is looking more and more obvious to me this is the case.
I would love to be wrong. But I doubt I am. The hotel isn't going in the land. I'm just talking about the actual lands themselves. Did you see the model of what Disneyland will look like? Where is all the stuff on the left side of the model going to fit in HS? Seems to be plenty of room in Disneyland for it but im not seeing anywhere for it in HS unless they bulldoze the muppets. Not true, we've already been through this. It's not a touchy subject, but insiders like @marni1971 have said that is flat out wrong many timesI have had the same hunch for the last few months. We were talking about it over in the Disneyland forum, but it’s a sensitive subject on a WDW focused site so I would wade into the topic carefully.
But with each HD aerial image that comes in as the months tick along toward 2019, it’s apparent there are some major differences in the layout and land use of each Star Wars project on each coast. It’s not just you.
The MiceChat report doesn't disagree with anything. It states that there is more room to the left of Battle Escape, which is true.
But then they spin it as a good thing on DL's part, much like many of our neighbors here do. As though DL is electing to have more space to the left of Battle Escape. That isn't true.
The land isn't squished in DHS, it's squished in DL. On the west coast, the area to the left of Battle Escape is too thin for the showbuilding to be any closer. In the swamps, the area was wide enough for them to put it closer. This was a choice on DHS's part, and a necessity on DL's. It's a weird thing to wrap your head around... there is more space because there is less space, and less space because there is more. That's why people are having such a hard time. But in no way is the land gasping for space in DHS.
And when future aerials prove this, I'll be quoting myself.

Got it. And I’m old and use bifocals to look at pictures. But there is quite obviously now some major and growing differences in acreage and land use between the two coasts. Anyone who claims otherwise needs more than bifocals.
If we all pitch in a dollar, I think this can be accomplished. Will someone please spend $1,000 a month for access to NearMaps? Then we'll know for sure.
My patience is wearing thin, and rightfully so. Is the extra space on the other side of SWL not clearly discernible at this point? I circled the rough area in red. SWL in DHS is clearly not "gasping for space" and could've been positioned further from Grand Avenue. This was a choice on Imagineering's part, not a necessity.
I hate to see someone continuously push an incorrect conclusion when it's so obviously incorrect, and will only become more obviously incorrect.

You misunderstood. He was saying that people have been saying DL has the larger SWL. He's trying to point out that DHS is just as big as DL's.I love how you presume the use of that space wasn't concidered and then quickly dismissed. One building you circled (the larger one) is home to maintence base which is an internal communications hub for not only DHS but the entire 42sq miles of WDW. It kind of looks like a 911 call center inside to give you a visual. The cost and time it would take to relocate that building and all of the communication cables that go to it would be enormous and there would be very little gained from the move. Additionally there will be plenty of acrage south of the current plot once the parking reconfiguration is complete so you are quite literally complaining for no reasonable reason.
