If the pin release information matches up with the store opening, it like it should, then it looks like we are just days away from the first "new" store in the new shopping area formerly known as PI.

Forgive me for not looking forward to another place to shop. :hurl:

I miss the AC and the CW. I just wish that I could have seen them once more before they closed, but I wasn't so blessed.

I'm 97% sure it's in the MARKETPLACE not PLEASURE ISLAND.

In my best Emily Litella voice......"Nevermind."

You are correct Sir. Oh well, at least it's fairly decent potenial scoop on the opening date.

i dont get the allure of this store. i make my own teeshirts at home all the time. probably for much much less than theyll be charging here.

I know what you mean. Hanes makes crappy t-shirts. I much prefer Fruit of the Loom or something even better quality. I have a Photoshop like photo editing software tool and know where to buy transfers. It's not hard to produce a really nice customized Disney themed t-shirt for less than $6 at home. At home, I also can put whatever text that I want on the shirt without constraint. I somehow doubt that the Disney store is going to be a liberal and I have no doubt that it won't be as cheap.

It's going to be replacing the scrapbooks, books, and miscellaneous merchandise section of The Art of Disney next to Rainforest. I do like how they're going for a Goofy Candy Company feel for the decor. I am however wondering where the books and other media will now be sold at Downtown... I can't stand going into the World of Disney unless I absolutely have to.

If I am remembering correctly, that is kind of a small spot. It seemed much more grand from the descriptions.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but the release date for this pin is now listed as Dec. 5th. I'm assuming this means that the store's opening has been postponed. Does anybody have any further information?

I think this store is a great idea. It really fits Disney's push into 'customized' entertainment, where you get to control how things work. Sure the shirts will be overpriced, but so is everything else! :)

I really can't stand this place.

The fact it was once a great bookstore and, more recently, a limited one that still had a nice selection of books, CDs, DVDs and scrapbooking items and is now something so ... so basic just adds to the sense of loss.

More WalMarting. Buh Humbug.
