Captain Sig Hansen and his brothers Norman and Edgar from the Discovery Channel hit show "Deadliest Catch" will be at the Norway Pavilion July 10 -13.
Hansen is captain of the Northwestern. His crab-catching expeditions are featured on "Deadliest Catch" and also served as inspiration for the XBox 360 "Deadliest Catch: Alaskan Storm" video game.
The Hansens will sign autographs and take pix with visitors. In addition, they'll have Northwestern merchandise for sale.

Wow that's really awesome! Deadliest Catch is a great show. I wish I was there, sadly I will just be looking at pictures. :(

Thanks for the update

I bet when they were out fishing for crab years ago they never thought they would be doing photo and autograph sessions at Epcot.

Sig was also at the Norway pavilion last Nov during F&W festival. I'm not sure if his brothers were with him .

I'd also like to see photos (hint, hint). I bet they clean up good ;).

Venturing out in winter storms for crab is nothing

....they are braving WDW in July!

That is such a great show. He is definetly one of the tougher captains but he always seems to do the best. Hope some one can get some pics!

I totally thought this thread was going to be about someone catching an alligator on a fishing trip in the waters around the Epcot park or diving with sharks at the Nemo aquarium.

Also snap some pics of the Northwestern merchandise, if you don't mind. I expect one will say, "Shut up and fish" :ROFLOL:.

if anyone is really going to visit the Hansons make sure to have them wish Phil well and a speedy recovery to his illness. I know the shows are shot well before they air but he may still be battling his illness

Myself and the Mrs. stood in the rain for over 2hrs to meet the Hansens. Asked where we were from and when we said Ireland Sig said we were mad to come all the way to America! After a brief chat we were heading off only for a tap on the shoulder by Mr " Helly Hansen" ( dont know his name but he was from the company). Sig wanted to meet us again.

The men took a brief break form signing etc and we were all usherd out the back of the Norway pavillion for a chat. Chatted for about 10 mins about everything. 3 of the nicest fellas I've ever met, Sig admitted himself, he's just a fisherman and can't see what all the fuss was about.

A fantatic day myself & the mrs had.

How fun was that??:sohappy: I would have loved to meet them, I love the show. My favorite weekend pastime in the winter cold or snow is to curl up on the couch and watch Deadlist Catch marathons. Gotta love it!
