That's just the empty space where your anticipation had been ballooning for months or more. Par for the course for us fans. Sure, it will be years before these things open, but they will break ground on the Avengers expansion relatively sooner and the construction phase is always entertaining.

Why do I feel so dirty today? Like the low after a big high. Ravenously consuming news and rumors for the last few months for what? Rides that are going to (hopefully) open in 4-6 years.
Well I hoping it sooner than 4-6 years for some projects, like the 2 Avengers Campus attractions.

Happy for you guys except for that potential scary ROA implications. I’m pretty happy with that what we heard. Only thing I’m jealous of is that Monsters Inc coaster as that makes too much sense at DCA.
Thanks, appreciate it! ROA was kinda coming unfortunately. Door coaster is hype, good ideas truly never do die. IMO best ride to movie set peice tie in since splash and the briar patch. For ROA, gonna miss it, but hey, maybe with the two new mega lands and the differentiation from DL, the magic kingdom can finally shed its “Disneyland but worse” reputation!

Was sitting here contemplating the announced Mando & Grogu mission for Smuggler's run. I was wondering if this was going to just be a temporary mission for a few months when the new movie comes out and then switch back, or if it will become permanent, or if they will alternate the missions at some point....

Then I realized that what Hondo says in the briefing is somewhat specific to your mission, so they would need to change that dialogue for Mando & Grogu and it wouldn't be possible to have the missions be random because of what he says.

Then I was thinking that if they ever went the multiple-missions route that maybe they would have to make his dialogue more generic and then have the specifics of the mission when you are prepped just outside the cockpit door.

Just random thoughts.

I think the best case scenario is MK keeps the front half of the ROA and gets those new attractions/lands. Losing all of it would be terrible. It's scary though - you think if they re willing to do that at MK would they do it one day at DL? Granted its Walt's park. Seems like nothing is sacred these days though. Maybe the modifications they made to DL's ROA for GE saved the ROA. At least for a couple decades. I cant see them removing it at DL. That would be a major loss. Worse than SBC IMO.

There is no Disneyland without the Rivers of America.

In terms of pure logistics I would say Fantasmic (even in its downgraded form) is too big a draw for them to consider removing it over here.

Sometimes I think it's a disservice to the fans to show the concept art since the final product never seems to be as good.
It's hard to do worst than this.

Funny how they announce all these new things for WDW but they never built all the things they announced before. Where is the Mary Poppins ride? Communicor ended up being extremely different and cheap. Where is GE for Paris?

This.

For my own sanity, I can't be excited for any of it until they start building. "Construction starts in 2026" just means they have 2 years to change their minds and cancel it.

This is the best way to look at everything.

There are 3 outcomes:

1) Project is built as intended
2) Project costs go over budget in the planning or construction stage and the project is scaled back
3) Project is never built

We’ve definitely seen all of these happen. Who knows. I won’t believe anything until it’s open. We’ve also seen executives come and go which also effects the budget attractions get.

And THIS is better than construction walls. The walls are still there on the left side, correct?
The "walls" on the left are just covering the entrance to the Orbitor ride mechanics which were previous hidden by the french fry rocks. So if you don't mind a huge box looking thing in plain view they can remove the walls. Me personally I don't mind the walls, they are small enough and don't really mess with the views that they can be ignored.
