I saw off the current version of the show a few days ago. I went to three performances throughout the day, and all were much better attended than I’d seen before, in part because the park was crowded, but also, I think, because other CBJ devotees were there for the same reason as me. People were clapping, laughing, and generally enjoying themselves. It was an aptly celebratory send-off for the bears, and I look forward to seeing what they’ll bring us when they return.
Anytime I'd go I would make it a mission to go see it. And, the theater was pretty much full..I can't help to think due to Genie+ if this had a resurgence since it's one of the attractions not using it and a good filler for your day if the rides are busy..

Interesting! This was my first time there in the Genie+ era, so I wasn’t aware of this larger shift. During previous trips (up to February 2020), I would typically find myself among only a handful of people in the theatre.

Has anyone heard this? A friend of mine in the entertainment industry claimed that a certain pop music megastar (whose film and tour have dominated public conscience for quite some time) may have been approached to write for the new version, and possibly voice a character... I haven't seen this repeated elsewhere, so I'm curious if anyone else has.

I have heard this rumor myself, but wrote it off as just a rumor

I wish they could collaborate with Dolly, but that’s probably not possible given that she has her own theme park.
Not Dolly sadly. Someone far more... annoying except to a gaggle of fans and 1 particular NFL player.

I would too, except it came from someone with connections to the entertainment industry that are pretty strong (who also used to have stupidly good connections into Disney before he moved up north) and who I trust when it comes to these kind of things. Haven't read it elsewhere, but I have to at least entertain the theory if others have heard it who don't know him...

If this is true, it makes total sense. She’s huge, would instantly make the attraction popular with the GP, and has three albums of country material. Plus, she has an established working relationship with the company.

Random shower thought ... Instead of redoing Pecos Bill to align with Bayou Adventure, it might make more sense to tie it to the Country Bear update since they seem to be keeping anything New Orleans-styled behind Frontierland Station, and the Country Bears are more the restaurant's natural neighbors anyway.

Hot chicken, fried pickles, cornbread, catfish, and hand pies, if done decently, could be a welcome change over the current subpar Tex-Mex.

Hungry Bear Restaurant coming over to the east coast?

Essentially, yeah. Just feels like it makes more sense to go from Missouri (Harper's Mill) to Tennessee (Jamboree & restaurant) to Louisiana (Bayou Adventure) without the random southwestern mythical figure in between and without all the logistical problems Tiana's Place would introduce.

But giving her the voice of one of the regulars would off a lot of fans in the process... A balancing act for sure.

They’ve made changes before and hardly anyone noticed.

There are like 100 Swifties for every one Country Bear Jamboree fan.

We don’t even have a cool nickname
