The only bear that fell flat for me was Terrance "Shaker". But then I wasn't familiar with that song. Didn't seem resonate with the audience as much.
Fixer-Upper is the funniest song in Frozen so I'm happy it's getting some attention.Overall I have no idea how to feel about this show, the gag of Ernest's fiddle catching fire is funny and I liked the nods to the original show. Was really cute.
Fixer-Upper being in there felt like some kind of mandate, like the show HAD to have a song from Frozen but they didn't want to put Let It Go in there.
It’s pretty bizarre that it’s here when it didn’t even make the Frozen Sing Along set list.Fixer-Upper is the funniest song in Frozen so I'm happy it's getting some attention.
Is that what's it from? I couldn't place it. That's the only bear act I didn't like.Fixer-Upper is the funniest song in Frozen so I'm happy it's getting some attention.
I mean shaker had the worst song in the 2012 show so….Is that what's it from? I couldn't place it. That's the only bear act I didn't like.
Ah wdw fans. We love our little blorbo’s!He's adorable. That's why...
Just seems like they're struggling with the character in general. Even his intro was questionably offensive and insulting by Disney standards. That said... It's perhaps less recognizable but "Stand Out" from A Goofy Movie would have worked well for his character.I mean shaker had the worst song in the 2012 show so….
Stand out is a 90’s pop song. Try everything was pushing it already. It's perhaps less recognizable but "Stand Out" from A Goofy Movie would have worked well for his character.
Flipping the genre is/was half the appeal. But I agree, that Try Everything wasn't countrified enough.Stand out is a 90’s pop song. Try everything was pushing it already.
This isn't bad. I just don't get why they took out some of the humor such as the reveal of the swinging bear from the ceiling and the host hitting on her.
I doubt Henry and Teddi's relationship not being mentioned is because of anything that could be "offensive." They straight up said in the new official bios for the bears they put out a few days ago that Henry is annoyed that Wendell is singing with Teddi. And the new queue even features a photograph of Henry on his ladder having a meal with Teddi.Because the company that owns Family Guy and Deadpool find those jokes offensive. Can’t make it up.
I miss it as the resort channel loop from 98-02
It’s funny that everyone was clamoring for deep cuts from the songbook, but the deepest cuts from this show (Try Everything & Fixer Upper) are the ones that don’t work for people. The only bear that fell flat for me was Terrance "Shaker". I can’t wait for the next overlay: Country Bear Romantic CompetitionI doubt Henry and Teddi's relationship not being mentioned is because of anything that could be "offensive." For real though, it would've been hilarious if they had Henry acknowledge his annoyance at Wendell, perhaps by one-upping him- "Jokes on him, I'm the one with the ladder!" Either that or having Teddi immediately shift her attention from Wendell to Henry when the song is over, leaving Wendell sighing.I can’t wait for the next overlay: Country Bear Romantic Competition
To quote someone I know- the bears still feel like the bears. They feel real, with the same personalities they've always had, and this new show just feels like another day in their life, much like the Christmas and Vacation shows. With the positive reception of bears, I proclaim: the country bears are undefeated. They are just them. My goats.
I feel like the joke in the show is fine, just needs a final bit. After the ladder and swing thing buff and max say. Or have Henry cut in - "and I'm afraid I'm the only one with a ladder." Or something like that. A punchline that follows the setup and also works to inform the audience of Henry and Teddi's romance.I feel like the joke in the show is fine, just needs a final bit. Buff: “I would come up, but I’m afraid of heights!”
Max: “and I’m afraid of Swings!”
Melvin: “and I’m afraid of Wendell”
Thats the best part. Long live the bears. May they some day return to California, perhaps in a peak. A grizzly peak. Nah, it’d never work.To quote someone I know (who I probably can't name here)- the bears still feel like the bears.
