^ Of course you history buffs feel that way about Two Brothers.

Fun to Be Free could have been higher, I agree, but I think it's problem was that it suffered from stiff competition.

Plus, the difference between these point totals is pretty tight.
Yeah, it was tough for me to be objective on that one. I am a little surprised that "Now is the Time" is not rated higher as well.

Would this be the official name for the Tapestry of Nations music heard at EPCOT then, in 1999?

Those titles...completely new to me. :o And if so, could've scored higher.

No. Tapestry of Nations is a different song (I have a feeling it's still to come..:lookaroun.. or it didn't make it to the top 30:eek:)

No, wrong song. The melody from Anthem, however, is in (a rather exciting) part of the TON score.

The lyrics to this song (chorus) go:

Put your hand on the future,
Share a dream together around the world,
With a voice from every country,
A face from every land,
We'll celebrate the future hand in hand.

Other's could comment on where/when the full version was/is used in the park. I know it was big in commercials then.

Unfortunatley, I looked on ebay (only 50th CD there) and Amazon ($100 used) and not looking good for getting a copy of the Happiest Celebration on Earth 2-disc CD set. Thanks for the direction though.

Those songs are aging quite well to me. I think my Timeless rating on those were pretty high.

Given some of the comments here...maybe a little too high!

Now I remember! There's the Gospel version,a Pop version, and one heard at FoN: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I92ZxZrv9Kc

I guess the "Anthem" part confused me a bit, since it's a new title for me.

Ok, now this looks about right.

None of these songs were particularly WOW to me...Even "Now Is the Time"
GBBT is so much more "Disney".

Kinda sad that the Millennium songs didn't get higher, but then again it was just for a year.

Just to make sure everybody's clear:

If there is a " / " between 2 titles, that refers to 2 alternative titles for the same song - not 2 separate songs.

(see #18 and #20)

I don't have my rankings in front of me, but I had Makin' Memories higher as it's one of my favorites. With that said, I was disappointed in myself for the song I ranked #1.

Well, all I can say then is that I was a little surprised at my top pick. I tried to be subjective and stick to the criteria. Having done that, my #1 was not necessarily a favorite.

Same here.

Same here. In fact, I'm almost ashamed of myself...... :zipit: Kudos to MousDad's scoring, it made you really think about how you'd really rank each of these. I found myself trying to remember songs rather than play them and then grade them.

I used iTunes, a TON for this. If I had played it within the last week, it would get a higher rating...Things that I didn't have, but knew got a lower one.

It's kind of sad that sometime in the late 80s adding an immersive, coherent, and integrated music package into new theme parks went by the wayside. Never got rid of music altogether, but you could tell the Golden Age of "A Standout Song for Every Attraction" was long gone.
