Today's Covid19 breakdown from the NY Times has some good news for most of the US and some bad news for the States that joined Governor Cuomo's lead. Florida is down to 22 cases per 100,000 and now there are only 5 states with cases in the 20's. However, Delaware had a huge spike and now has 30 cases per 100,000, joining RI which increased from 30 to 31, NY which improved from 37 to 36 and leading the pack NJ which again increased from 38 to 39. Back to good news the number of states in single digits increased from 4 to 6 and California is now at 10.
4 states in the 30's
5 states in the 20's, all 20 to 23
36 states in the 10's
6 states in single digits
Improvement but not fast enough. I have no idea what happed in Delaware which reported 798 cases yesterday and a 7 day average of 291, something is wrong there. But NJ is a complete disgrace being 69.6% higher than DC and 77.3% higher than Florida. I just did a quick calculation and if yesterday's 798 cases was removed, Delaware's average for the other 6 days is 20.2 per 100,000. It will be interesting to see what the number is today and if yesterday was a fluke then Delaware could drop to the 10's in another 7 days.
