What reason? Educate me.
A lot of my friends are still concerned about it being a “new” vaccine with such a quick turnaround time. They’re not necessarily *never* going to get it, but they want to make sure there’s no long term effects or allergic reactions we don’t know about (I.e. by any effect that could happen long term I mean something more then a few months, the time of trial period). Not saying it’s a correct decision, but giving my anecdotal experience as to why many are waiting.

So having an opinion that defers from yours is trolling? I'm guessing you support censorship of the internet.
Facts aren't opinions. Opinions that contradict facts are lies.

The earth is a sphere. That is not an opinion.

Your stance that baseless opinions are equivalent to facts is why this world is so much more horrible than it needs to be.

Throwing Haha emojis on someone's post about losing someone isn't an opinion, it's trolling. Heartless, sociopathic trolling.

Spend some time away from WdW magic and visit other websites. I'm sure you have the time considering how much time you spend here. I'm just one person out of millions that will be opting out.
Seems like you spend a lot of time here if you claim others do too. There are reports that some hospitals and clinics are looking for staff to get the vaccine or else they lose their jobs. I fully support this idea.

Nothing at all to say why it’s bad and many healthcare workers aren’t getting it. Except for “ visit other websites”. If you don’t believe in the yeti.. or that the earth is flat.. or Area 51..or pigs can fly.. visit other websites. What a weak argument for a opinion.
The science clearly states it’s safe. How about reading a respectable science website. If you find one that says please don’t get this vaccine, post the link. I’ll be sure to visit to see what they have to say.

"Britain on Wednesday became the first country in the world to approve a coronavirus vaccine developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca, hoping that rapid action would help it stem a surge of infections driven by a highly contagious variant of the virus."

"The Oxford vaccine has been found in trials to be less effective than the Pfizer/BioNTech shot but, crucially for countries with more basic health infrastructure, can be stored and transported under normal refrigeration, rather than supercooled to -70 degrees Celsius (-94 Fahrenheit)."

As someone who has posted in the Politics subforum from the beginning, I can tell you it is against forum rules to use the laugh emoji in a sarcastic or mocking manner. People have been suspended from the subforum for months at a time over it.

This post may not have started in the Politics section, but it was moved there. @The Mom just hasn’t gotten around to enforcing it on this thread. On other threads, that behavior has been monitored like a hawk.
I spend most of my time elsewhere, so haven't gotten to all of the non-Political Forum threads. But you are correct - it is against the rules to use the laughing emoji in a sarcastic or mocking manner - or to use it in a totally innapropriate fashion.

The confusion may arise because many threads were started before the rule was added, so there are still some emojis hanging around. And many posters continue to disregard warnings about it, so the evidence of their "misbehavior" is still there after they have gone. Or been banned.

It seems like the claws have come out when the vaccine topic comes up. They are not forcing healthcare workers to get the vaccine. They don’t need the pushback right now. We are in bi g demand. Down the road who knows. As you all know I’m for freedom of choice. You can say whatever you want you want to me, but that’s not going to change. I don’t view this board as a microcosm of how people in the world feel. There are too few posters and it tends to be one sided.

That wasn’t me.
He did not name the poster. He was just remarking that many posters wanted to ban a particular poster (not you) who did something that was beyond the bounds of common decency by laughing at another poster's grief. It had little to do with that poster's opinions - although a couple of posters brought that up - and as I recall I deleted or edited those posts.

It is coincidence that both of you also were using the laughing emoji inappropriately. At least I hope so.

We were referencing a different anti-vaxxer... one with an even more anti-vax stance than what seems to be yours. One who was banned from this thread at least once and was using the emojis as their revenge-trolling.
I’m not an anti-vaxer. I really don’t need another label added to my list of labels I’ve received on this forum.

People have been saying the most horrible things to and about each other the last few days - I wish there was a reset button somewhere.

Honestly, I didn't realize people were so affected by emojis. If someone whose opinion I valued laughed at a serious point I was trying to make, there's no question I would be hurt. But if it's some random internet person, I just figure they can't come up with a valid response. It's a shame people are using emojis as an additional weapon to make someone feel bad. As if we need that these days.
