OMG, do they understand the responsiblity they are given. That is like my talking to someone to see their gun so I can point it at someone else. That was just poor judgement on the officers part.

People would be surprised at how many times LEO's taser their partners(Sometimes in their marked units) or get into other 'mishaps' involving those things. Plus, most agencies require you to be tased before you are allowed to carry one(Same goes for OC spray). I wouldn't be surprised if there were a 'Taser Cam' involved in this incident...

And just to show that Tasers don't always work, here's a recent video. Luckily, help showed up quickly...

Deputy Eric Jeros and two Disney security guards were apparently at Epcot Center in an office.

Apparently this incident occurred in 1986. :lookaroun

I have no problem with tourists screwing up the names, but come on...you get paid to write the news and you can't take two seconds to look up the actual name of the park?

All the more reason to re-name....:lookaroun:lol:

"Green" Directional signs called it EPCOT Center for a while. Some still do.

Whats even better is that at the end of the first paragraph the author have the name correctly (Epcot), and two sentences later, the park suddenly becomes Epcot Center. At least be consistent in what you're doing... :brick:

As to the story, naughty, naughty, shouldn't have done it, they know better next time.

I don't think the security guy actually deployed the Taser. There is no way an OCSO Deputy with 18 years experience would let that happen knowing he is on the hook for the cartridge.

My guess is he pulled the cartridge and let the security guy pop his buddy at contact. Still not the best idea but it wasn't in front of the public and it won't do any physical damage at all.

Not a big deal.

This is said to have happened in a private office away from the park patrons. If this cast member has the lack of intelligence to subject himself to being tasered then he has received his punishment (PAIN) but the other cast member should be held responsible along with the deputy that provided the taser. I believe that there should be light punishment at best along with a lesson learned about the tasers. The deputy should be penalized but his job should not be in jeopardy because private citizens were not affected.

I agree. I think we, as a society, are getting too serious now days. Too many law suits and firings, you have to watch everything you say and be PC all the time. So the officer let someone they were talking too see their taser and another guy let that person tase them....oh well. It's not like they tested it on children. As a matter of fact I recall that when I was youn our local science center had a device you could deliver an electric volt to others. A blue spark would shoot out and zap you. Not the voltage of a taser but you couldn't do tha now days.
