I never thought I would purposely plan a Spring break trip however with swimming, soccer, hockey, school and work to work around. It was the best we could do.

I had sticker shock when we looked at room and decided to do a split stay so we could get standard rooms at each resort.

April 8-12 Contemporary-garden wing
April 12-15 Yachtsman- standard

We are looking forward to walking to Magic Kingdom from the Contemporary. That’s our favorite part of that resort. The kids are SOOOOO excited for Strormalong Bay!!! We wanted to stay the whole trip at Beach Club but we waited too long so 3 nights at the Yachtsman was our compromise for my little fish!

Oh my goodness Holly looks like so much fun! She is awesome at these photos and I can't wait to see the kids doing them on their own. Maybe Jet is gonna be a CP participant?!
She was seriously the best!!! If I ever get to do one of these tours again (highly doubtful) I would for sure ask for Holly!! My girls talk all the time how the 3 of them want to apply for the CP together. I may just have to move to Florida for that summer 😃.

It was 4:20 when we got off FEA we had planned on doing all 3 coasters at MK. We needed to hustle if that was going to happen. We parked at a cast member entrance behind Space Mountain. I had hoped that there was some super secret entrance to Space Mountain but there wasn’t just the regular Lightning Lane entrance. We made it on quickly.

Holly was determined to get us on all the rides we wanted. She was a force to be reckoned with navigating those Spring break crowds. We made it to Mine Train to discover it was downđŸ«€. I had asked earlier about special ride entrances and she asked if we wanted to take one instead. Of course I said yes!

I think I want Holly's job.
Me too.

She has had several positions throughout her tenure. One was playing a certain long golden hair princess, which if you look at her and her mannerisms she was perfect for that role. She said this has been her favorite role since she gets to spend a lot of time getting to know the guests.

Retirement dreams I guess!!

We made our way to the Haunted Mansion and walked to the exit. As you are exiting and when you are almost outside there is a door. We entered that door.

It took us to a little room.

There was a knock on the door and we entered right into the stretching room! I have never noticed this door before! Holly sat out this ride and the happy haunts held on to Hubby and Bear’s picture but the rest of us look as clueless as ever on the location of the camera 😃

The moment the kids were dreading had arrived. It was 6:15 so we had actually gone over our tour time. Holly took us to Big Thunder and said she would get us on the ride but would be gone when we got off. We took some photos and videos and bid her goodbye.

She watched us board our train and she was gone. Jet started crying, Bear and Nene were asking if we could book her again tomorrow. Handsome wanted her to be our nanny. To say we enjoyed our time with her would be an understatement. She absolutely made our day MAGICAL.

It was 6:30 when we got off of BTMR. We were starving. We had skipped lunch to maximize our tour time and those pancakes seemed like a long time ago. We decided to go check in for our 6:50 dinner reservation at Skipper Canteen.

We only had to wait about 10 minutes and it was a pleasant wait relaxing in these comfy chairs.

We stared with the Orinoco Ida’s Cachapas. These were delicious. Even my very picky father in law enjoyed them.

We all got the Tastes like Chicken Because it is. I had planned on getting something else but I was just so hungry I didn’t want to risk not liking my dinner. We all loved the chicken.

Nene loved her volcano cake. I sat out on dessert since I had a different Disney treat in mind.

I didn’t have to go too far for the treat I had in mind😃 My favorite Disney treat.

We used to have a store locally that sold Dole Whip and whenever I had the Disney blues I would head over for a pick me up. COVID ran it out of business😭. I have heard there is a vegan food truck that serves it. I need to track it down soon! I miss Disney. A picture to send to my sister in law and fellow Dole Whip lover.

We decided to watch the Tiki Room since Handsome had been asleep the only other time we saw it.

It was 8:30 when we wished up at the Tiki Hut. We were running on fumes and wanted to end the day on a good note so we decided to just head back to the Contemporary. We still had to retrieve our luggage for our room move. We got back about 9:00 and waited 30 minutes for someone to show up at luggage services so we could take our luggage to our room. In hindsight we should have kept our original room. New same room pics😃.

All settled in we started hearing the sweet music for Electrical Water Pagent. We watched for a few minutes and then all fell fast asleep. It had been an amazing day.

April 10th- Animal Kingdom

I would up at 5:30am to get everything ready. We wanted to be out the door at 6:30am. We had a Publix delivery the first day with cereal, bagels, water, snacks and some adult beverages. So breakfast was in the room and we were doing good on time. We actually left the room at 6:20am. We got to the bus stop and the sign said next bus to AK 6:48 am. We waited and waited. The time changed again and again. At this point I realized we were not making park open so against my good judgement I booked an ILL for FOP. It was still since we just rode it the day before but with the limited rides at DAK I knew my kids would want to and a 90 minute wait was not in my list of things to do today. I took this picture at 7:18.

At least everyone was still smiling for our very long wait. A bus came at 7:50. I still can’t believe we sat at that bus stop all that time.

The “like” is for the family picture- not for your long wait!

That's an insane wait!
