I never thought I would purposely plan a Spring break trip however with swimming, soccer, hockey, school and work to work around. It was the best we could do.

I had sticker shock when we looked at room and decided to do a split stay so we could get standard rooms at each resort.

April 8-12 Contemporary-garden wing
April 12-15 Yachtsman- standard

We are looking forward to walking to Magic Kingdom from the Contemporary. That’s our favorite part of that resort. The kids are SOOOOO excited for Strormalong Bay!!! We wanted to stay the whole trip at Beach Club but we waited too long so 3 nights at the Yachtsman was our compromise for my little fish!

However instead of screaming at each other the way we were the woman says to the man in the most calm and prim and proper voice possible “ We tried to walk but you walked like a sloth.” Bear and I started dying laughing and this became our new saying anytime we started getting frustrated the rest of the trip. We made it back to the room a little after midnight absolutely exhausted.
Love this!
I particularly love to hear that other families melt down at Disney.
My daughter says we solve our problems loudly! đŸ€Ł

I wanted to love dessert but it was meh for me. Maybe a bad batch? The warm gooey cakes are usually up my alley.
Unpopular opinion, I know but I'm not a fan of it either :cautious:

Your tour looks like it was so much fun!!

What doesn't look fun are the waits you had for busses😞 That really stinks when it happens that frequently in the same trip.

We finished up lunch and Jet noticed there was no outside line visible for FOP. “Let’s go!” was a group anthem from the kids and Paca. Who was I to argue. We waited 30 minutes this time so longer than the first but still fantastic for Spring break. View attachment 664584View attachment 664585View attachment 664586
Sivako!

Sivako indeed! You certainly did rise to the challenge to get all that done in one day!

LOL at walking like a Sloth story!

Love the baby hippo pic, but I bet it wasn't as cute as Fritz!! I can't wait to get to Cincinnati to see him! Love the Crush and Squirt drawings! That is one thing we have never managed to do at AK! Sorry your dining experience was so poor at Sanaa. It seems Disney has a lot of "little" issues like these that they need to be working on so people will want to return. I was wondering what your title meant! What an unusual thing to choose to say to someone, but I love it! And I love that you used it the rest of the trip to defuse tense situations!
I have been watching all the baby Fitz videos! We go to a lot of soccer tournaments in the Cincy area so I am hoping we can squeak in to so him.

We loved the animation experience and hope to do it again on our next trip.

Honestly the waits were just this day. In the future I am going to plan on Ubering to AK. Our family size can make it a struggle but anything would have been better than all that bus stop time.

April 11- Epcot

After the late night we were happy to have an Epcot day so we could sleep in an extra hour. We were also happy to jump on the monorail this morning instead of a bus! We made it to Epcot just before 9 and we’re quickly let inside.

Bear loves Pluto! So we took a social distanced picture.

We didn’t feel like hussling to any rides so we went to Starbucks first. Only to realize the Starbucks hadn’t reopened yet. We did some shopping instead. For some reason the kids decided they wanted to go to Nemo first so off we went.

We always recreate a photo they took with friends a few years back to let them know we miss them. I was still in need of coffee so we decided to go to the butterfly house while hubby waited in line at Joffrys.

Never heard of a leaf pepper. My kiddos were shocked that they actually serve the fish the see in the tanks on property. Sometimes I think my kids have a hard time reconciling that what is on their plate was alive at one point. Next up Soarin!

We were really excited to ride Ratatouille so we decided to head to world showcase. I had a hankering for the maple popcorn and we decided to share a whiskey (is this called Rye since it’s in Canada?) and frozen Coke.

We spent some time exploring this pavilion. It’s very beautiful. Le Cellier is on our bucket list but it will need to wait until our kids get a little older. On to the United Kingdom. Bear adores Alice so she was 2 for 2 on character sightings.

The window for our LL was almost open so onward to France.

I just love Flower and Garden!
We shopped for a bit and then our LL opened up so we shrank down to rat size and took a spin. I didn’t take any pictures this time except this one.

I always get champagne in France so there was no better time than now.

It was time to leave World Showcase and head to Space for lunch. Since it was hard to book this reservation we had split our reservations into 2 groups of 4. I was hoping they would allow us to be seated together or at least near each other but this was not the case so it’s the take of two lunch reservations. First called in and sat all the way to the right of the restaurant was Paca, Grandma, Bear and Nene.

We arrived to space and were taken to the table all the way to the left so not close to the rest of the party. We were fine with the arrangement but wanted other parties to know they aren’t as able to request changes at this restaurant compared with other DisneyWorld restaurants.

We ordered quickly unfortunately it was so long ago I don’t remember names to any of it! SO pictures are all you get.

We had a LL for Test Track that was about to expire so we had to hustle back to earth. Our kiddos were so excited they could build their car. They really missed this part during COVID.

Handsome had a hole burning his pocket so he wanted to use more of his gift card money in the gift shop. This castmember was so sweet treating him like a grownup while he made his purchase.

We went back to the resort and relaxed/packed up. We were moving hotels the next day so I took advantage of the time in the room. Everyone was pretty tired from the night before still so it was rough getting everyone back into park mode. The plan had been to be back in the park by 5:30pm however the first picture on my camera roll is 7pm oops. We had forgot to pick up our scavenger hunt card in the morning so we did it now. Goal was to eat/drink around the world and to take part in the hunt.

I'm glad to hear everyone enjoyed it. I actually was able to snag a lunch reservation for there next month. I do think it is a bit pricey but I'm excited for the experience.

I remember when the CM at The Polynesian gift shop was the same way with J. It was so cute!!

Is your group small for Space 220? I was sad we couldn’t all sit together but only 4 people tables get the seats next to the screens.

Hi
Yes - it would be a rye and coke
Drank too many as a teenager in one sitting and cannot stomach rye anymore

I must have missed the nickname change but when did Ninja become Nene??
