Trip Report (Completed)We tried to walk but you walk like a sloth.

Our family is heading back to WDW!

Top to bottom, left to right. Me, Hubby, Bear, Ninja, Jet and Handsome.

After a three year hiatus Paca and Grandma will be joining us again. We are all so excited!

I never thought I would purposely plan a Spring break trip however with swimming, soccer, hockey, school and work to work around. It was the best we could do.

I had sticker shock when we looked at room and decided to do a split stay so we could get standard rooms at each resort.

April 8-12 Contemporary-garden wing
April 12-15 Yachtsman- standard

We are looking forward to walking to Magic Kingdom from the Contemporary. That’s our favorite part of that resort. The kids are SOOOOO excited for Strormalong Bay!!! We wanted to stay the whole trip at Beach Club but we waited too long so 3 nights at the Yachtsman was our compromise for my little fish!

I would Reserve a car with Budget, pricing is good(relatively) right now(use your amazon account discount). Make sure you have a "Fast break" account set up first too, then prepay and just walk to your car. Budget is a super close walk to baggage and it's fast. If there is a lot of luggage you can go grab the car, drive around and pick them up at baggage. I have done budget rental at least a dozen times. For our large family there is nothing faster or more convenient for us from the airport or even hotels to resorts or to the parks.

All sorts of excitement in our house today! We were able to book ADR’s for the first half of our trip and we got EVERY single one we wanted. We had to break up into two reservations for a few of them however they are close enough together I hope they will join our parties. Here is what we have so far.

April 8th- lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern. A first for us. Dinner at Steakhouse 71.

April 9- Ravelo Goofy and His Pals breakfast.

The tour is officially booked for April 9th! We told the kids and they were bouncing off the walls excited.

After the tour we have a dinner reservation at Skipper Canteen.

April 10- Dinner at Sanaa

April 11- Space 220 lunch and Via Napoli Dinner.

April 12- Topolino Brunch, Dinner at Chef Al Smiths Homecoming

That is it until Thursday. Hoping our luck continues. Sometimes the split stays hurt us for dining reservations so far we are so good!!

When in Adventureland a pirating we go.

Pretty sure I was checking my phone for Lightning Lane reservations. unfortunately for the designated family planner this will be a common occurrence. Our upcoming Lightning Lane had us crossing the park. We decided to take advantage of a lonely PP Photographer.

For those of you who read last year’s trip report you will remember Handsome’s obsession with a sword from the Pirate’s ride. @amjt660 you will be happy to see the next picture and so was Handsome. He still wanted it a year later!

Shoot the meanos! This is what all our kids have always called Buzz and it’s a favorite for Hubby and Jet.

It was time to use our first Lightning Lane! Space Mountain it is! We were on the ride in moments. However I totally embarrassed Bear and Jet. I hop in the seat and the castmember says “ please pull down your lap bar” I look frantically and say “ I don’t have a lap bar” 9 year Bear says “ Mom you’re so embarrassing it’s right there”. I have no idea what I was thinking it looked like the headrest to me in that moment and I’ve rode space at least 25 times at this point in my life.

As you can tell they recovered from their embarrassment. I’m still clueless. Looking the wrong way.

Next it was time for some whiplash! My handsome driver.

9 going on 16.

It was time to make our way towards our next Lightning Lane. Which of course was on the opposite side of the park BTMR! We loved our wildest ride in the wilderness!

We wasted our hard earned money on an IlL for Mine Train - as if taking 6 people to Disney isn’t expensive enough. We decided to make our way to Fantasyland. Fatigue from the early morning was starting to set it. It was a cool day so at least the heat wasn’t a factor. Our first stop was Little Mermaid. No matter how old Jet gets this ride will be special to my little mermaid and I.

We carry on the tradition in our house @Tuvalu .

It was 12:25 we were moving so slow. Our legs and eyes were heavy. Our ILL window opened at 12:30 so we made our way to jump in line. It was a short wait we were on by 12:30 sharp! The whole family got into Rocking the cars. No embarrassing mom this time!

We finished up at Mine Train and tried to agree about what to do next. Everyone was ready for the hotel but our room wasn’t ready and it was pretty chilly for the pool. We had a lunch reservation for Liberty Tree Tavern for 1:30pm. We decided to head that way and see if there was anyway to get in early. We checked in and the girl at the front said she would try but couldn’t make any promises. The timing actually worked out perfectly. The parade came through while we waited. Our kids had so much fun dancing and waiving. They were smiling ear to ear.

Mine Train was the money waster for our Individual Lightning Lane. The wait was 70 minutes and our family was beat. I want to say we paid $10/person ($60)to avoid that line.

Honestly we were exhausted so if we hadn’t booked it we wouldn’t have rode. It’s just getting harder to choose what to splurge on when at Disney since EVERYTHING is now a splurge.

Sorry for the very LONG delay. Summer got the best of me. Jet had her musical

softball and swimteam took over June and July. Then we took a long road trip to Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone and the Tetons. It was beautiful.

Now school is about to start again and it’s time to get this report done!

After the parade our table was ready. I don’t have many pictures from lunch we were exhausted and starving.

I wanted to love dessert but it was meh for me. Maybe a bad batch? The warm gooey cakes are usually up my alley. I could have just been tired and grumpy though.

After this we were just beat. No room notification but a dip in the pool can always brighten our kids moods so we decided to head out of the park for the day. We got to the pool and it was too cold for me to swim so I grabbed a few extra towels for blankets.,

About an hour later we received a room ready text. We quickly made our way up to our room.

We had asked for a connecting room with my in laws but this room wasn’t. I called down to the front desk and they said they didn’t have any available however if we wanted to switch the next day we could. My kids love connecting rooms with their grandparents so we agreed on the change.

We got a call from the in laws that the had landed and were on their way to the Contemporary. That was the end of our “rest”. We decided to go look at the Easter eggs while we waited for them to arrive.

We had originally planned to take the monorail over to the Poly to try to get in to Trader Sam’s and then eat at captain cooks. However my in-laws flight was delayed and we were so exhausted we decided to eat at Contempo Cafe and browse the shops before an early bedtime.

This salad was delicious!

Every Disney day needs to end with dessert. Now off to bed!
