Comcast CEO: "Universal will compete aggressively with Disney"

nothing else to say.... this explains so much

Really, it does? Did you even read my response, or were you glossing over it because you can't explain it away with a simple "see, thrill junkie" post? And yes, "bare" steel (and wooden, which you'll see in a year or two) coasters are perfectly capable of carrying a theme, and even being a major thematic element. I don't think you quite understand the argument you're making, or how far short it is falling.

You repeatedly called the widely known post-Euro Disney building strategy of small parks with a few attractions "ridiculous" instead of actually trying to discuss the content. It seems when pushed to the limits of your knowledge you just make sarcastic comments.

Small parks? Animal Kingdom? Oh wait we're talking about "rides" again aren't we

How is that sarcastic? I was being serious.
Because you laugh off what is readily apparent with even a modicum of knowledge regarding Disney's history and how park area is calculated. A vast swatch of Disney's Animal Kingdom's size is landscaping and animal care facilities, not part of the guest experience that had one entire land and the majority of two others cut before opening day.

He laughes it off cause he is:

1) nervous Uni is kicking WDW's butt in areas where Disney used to be king
2) sees a shift from WDW to Uni so his business is going to start to hurt
3) is paid by the post despite the lack of content, which explains his one word answers
4) is just a world class idiot and knows nothing of what he tries to talk about, hence the one word WOW posts...
5) can only say WOW cause he has no argument... when you have no argument, and are losing the one you think you are winning, the last resort is just blowing it off, ignoring it, and giving sarcastic, usually immature responses like GO GET DRUNK ON YOUR BUTTERBEER HAHAHA

WOW! really?

in what way? steel outdoor coasters?

Busch Williamsburg

Yepp, the steel excuse is invalid. Especially when a place such as BGW or IoA does it.

The webcast that universal just made the other day is more exciting than anything disney has announced in years. The details on the train, shops, ride, etc were honestly beyond anything I expected. Theres a very good chance that my next trip to florida will spent at that new cabana bay resort or whatever pop century looking thing universal is building right now.. that looks pretty cool too. Universal just seems to have the momentum and passion right now while disney is just going through the motions.

On a side note.. did anyone listen to the details of all the new stores coming in diagon alley? They all seem so unique and offer different themed stuff in each one.. fun stuff. Disney is going in the opposite direction with every one of their stores being dumbed down to offer the same merchandise.. and every disney resort offering the same cups etc. Diagon Alley isn't a game changer.. it's a physical sign that the game has already changed.

Interesting you say that....many people that still love WDW believe that a lot of the "landscaping" as you call it in AK IS a part of the guest experience.

Again it isn't all about rides
