Well, I hope for your sake that you get to go really soon.

Not according to many people on this thread, including myself.

Well if was anything like this Disney Princesses Skit, I'm going to miss it! :p

Oh, and yes, I am old enough to have been witness to the Kids of the Kingdom. Would be interesting if Disney updates this troupe.

I'll miss it, but I think I'll miss Millionaire more :lookaroun

Anyway, I saw this show twice, and at night it made such a difference. It was much better then, but oh well. I'll get over it.

If you haven't been since '93, please, please, please, do yourself a favor (and me, too) and spend your precious time at WDW on better things! So much has changed and been added since your last visit that you will want to not waste your time on that dinky show.

Great advice, thank you. Yes, it has been quite some time. Search for my posts (if you can, I think) and you can see that some of my posts mention August 1993 as the last time I was as WDW.

Whenever I get there, soon I am pretty sure, within the next six or so months, it will be like going to WDW for the first time. So many changes I know and so many memories of what once was.

I thought it was lame. My daughter who is a huge princess nut saw it twice and both times not really interested too much. CSC was way, way, way better and I hope it returns.

On a side note, what is the Princess & Pirate thing?

Is this show designed for adults?? I would argue that most adults sit through shows like this for their children. My 3 year old son really liked it, so I am bummed out for him. Hopefully, he will like the next show just as much. Fortunately, I taped it with my hand held camera so he can watch it at home.

I'm very glad to see this show and Millionare close soon. Two of the worst shows at WDW, IMO. The actors and crew deserved better as far as Cinderellabration goes. I know I'm not the target audience, but still.

At least with Millionaire, someone could win something. With C...bration, everyone loses!

There was a window of about six years (1992-1997) where I didn't go to WDW. When I finally got to go back, I found so many things changed. Most were for the good. Since you've been there, there have been some great things come and, sadly, go (RIP: AE, TK). And there is a whole new park waiting for you to explore. You'll have a blast. Plan to stay at least 10 days! :sohappy:

So I think Cinderellabration deserves alot more credit than its getting! There is nothing wrong with the way the show is performed or produced. In fact there really is nothing wrong with the show at all. Now I think the show is fine for what is is but I can see why some people don't like it! There is no conflict! Thats the only problem. There is no conflict which means there is no character growth or story development. That is the only thing the show could have to improve on an already great show.

Now on a side note I recently attended a filming of "Twiced Charmed" for the Disney Cruise Line's in room Tv channel. It was really well done and what I expected Cinderellabration to be more like!

It really has nothing to do with lack of conflict, it has to do with lack of a fun factor. It is dry as dry can be and just boring. I am sure some like it and that is great but it just is too boring for most I think. When self proclaimed princesses (my 5 year old is one of them) don't find a princess show exciting something is wrong with it.

The show it replaced was just plain fun. Laughs, romance and yes conflict but the fun factor was what made it great.

I'd still rather watch Cinderellabration. WWTBAM was one of my least favorite shows ever.

I always liked it for the first three minutes of gameplay. Then, when I realized that I wasn't going to make it in the hot seat, I was ready to get out of there. I never tried getting up and leaving early though.

The cast and crew were notified today that the final performance of Cinderellabration will take place on September 16th. The replacement show is slated to open September 30th. It is still unclear as to what the replacement will be. It was thought that Cinderella's Surprise Celebration would return, but nothing has been confirmed. If CSC were to return, there would have to be a major redesign of the friendship boxes for them to fit in the current castle environment. As for Cinderellabration, it has been rumored that it will be presented at the Castle during the Princess & Pirates event nights.

The possibility for Cinderella's Surprise Celebration is very real. Ever since they saw the final product for Cinderellabration, WDW Entertainment has been considering switching back to the former show. Feasability tests were conducted months ago (either last October or November) for the old gift packages, and managers determined that only two packages need to be reconstructed to fit the current stage props.

As you pointed out, nothing has been confirmed regarding CSC's return; but Entertainment wanted to get rid of C-bration long ago! (my source: a manager involved in bringing Cinderellabration to WDW)

I just want to be able to walk through the castle again!!!

You can still walk through the castle. Even during CSC the castle was closed during the shows. So after the shows the breezeway is opened. I will have to say that I will miss Cinderellabration a bit. Only because the performers are my friends. I do wish they would bring back CSC though. Here's hoping.
