I remember the first time I saw that show thinking, when is something going to happen. Obviously people in Tokyo have bad taste in shows because unless your a ten or younger year old girl, this show is horrible. This show was a disgrace to all of the great shows the castle has seen, and i cannot wait to see CSC return!

Tokyo's Show is over 1 hour in lenth and featres tons more charactors. Japanise have a longer attention span then us. The show keeps going on and on. They have very good taste, it's because we cut such a long show to fit into 15 min, that it's bad, and besides the fact that we hold the show during the day, while Japan only holds Cinderellabration at Night, hence thier subtitle Lights of Romance.

I was forced to watch it, and the entire time I was thinking that I'd rather be at SGE:eek:

Seriously, we wasted too much time there...time that could have been spent at Splash, Space..anywhere!

Thank goodness. If I have to hear the HEY!HEY!HEY! song one more time I might explode. I just hate the ending. Stand in the heat for another five minutes while all you watch is them leaving the stage. (I'm sure TDL's is SO much better.)

 13 years

Well, I hope for your sake that you get to go really soon.

Not according to many people on this thread, including myself.

If you haven't been since '93, please, please, please, do yourself a favor (and me, too) and spend your precious time at WDW on better things! So much has changed and been added since your last visit that you will want to not waste your time on that dinky show.

Wow, I guess I was one of the few affected by the show in a good way.

It made me cry... I thought it was cute.

Maybe something's wrong with me?

I was affected by the show alright but probably not in the same way you were. Personally, I felt the show was trying too hard but the results were seriously lacking. All I could think about while it was going on was how I hoped it would be ending soon so I could get back to the fun. The highlight of the show for me was the platform that raised and lowered...seriously. :lookaroun

I double-posted by accident, and I didn't realize it until I saw that you wrote back. You took my quote from the post that I didn't want there, so I just got rid of it.

After reading what I had wrote, that "I guess I was one of the few affected by the show," I realized that a lot of people were affected by the show, but not in a good way. So I changed my response to "I guess I was one of the few affected by the show in a good way," in the post above yours. I thought that would be a lot easier for everybody, heh.

Sorry for the confusion. I guess something must be wrong with me though, if it made me cry while watching it.

Nah, there's nothing wrong with you. Just different opinions. Believe it or not, some people actually like SGE, too!

I never got a chance to see Cinderellabration in person, but I've seen videos of both TDL's and MK's and I think that the MK isn't even deserving of the name. The TDL (original) version is a grand nighttime spectacle and is, in essence, the big nighttime show there (eg: Wishes, Fantasmic, Illuminations). The MK version is a mere shadow of the original. It was shortened and changed to fit American tastes in a daylight time slot. I'm glad it's on the way out and I'd be glad if Cinderella's Surprise Celebration returned because I skipped it on the last trip and I am kicking myself for doing so. I think it would be cool to have a new show too. Either way, it'll be better than the current one.

**Note: My beef is with the show itself and not the performers of the show. The performers were good from what I saw, it was just the show itself that sucked (ie: If you take a pile of poo and cover it with sugar, you still have a pile of poo).

I am usually not a negative person and I always try to find a silver lining but that show was simply horrible. Any replacement will be welcomed by me.

^ ^ ^ ^ ^

ME TOO!!!

I thought it was certainly one of the worst shows Disney has thrown together for one of its parks. Only better things can come out of this, for sure!

By the way....all these people saying their kids "loved" the show....

Do you mean in the same way they "love" school and mashed potatoes?
Or do you mean they have to see it a couple times a day and have memorized all the lines and bought the t-shirt? :lookaroun

There's a HUGE difference. Hard to believe any kid would "love" that show more than any other part of the Magic Kingdom...or even miss it if it was replaced.

I never actually stood and watched the show, but I think this sums it right up: I was walking through the crowd of people watching the show, and I saw a little girl, around 3 or 4 covering her ears and looking quite displeased.
