And I'll just play my iTunes Christmas playlist on Christmas morning.

And my favourite Christmas music memory is of Christmas morning in 1988 when I first heard "Wonderful Christmastime" and I got lots of cool toys and my kitten played in the wrapping paper. Hey, I was 2; this was exciting.

1) Nat King Cole's "The Christmas Song" (Chestnuts roasting on an open fire...) and the Carpenters' "Merry Christmas, Darling" (Greeting cards have all been sent, the Christmas rush is through...)

2) The "Carpenters' Christmas Portrait"

3) Actually 2 memories connected with my answer to # 1 above. I was away for ayear as an exchange studnet in 1972 when teh Carpenters' released "MErry Christmas Darling" which is about not being with the one you love at Chrristmas. My girlfriend (who became my wife) taped the song off of the radio and sent it to me. It has become our Christmas song. The 2nd memory is on related to "The Christmas Song". It was playing over the loudspeakers in teh restaurant on the Christmas Eve I proposed to my wife (1975).

I love the song Merry Christmas Darling, but my favorite from that cd is a tie between Ave Maria and Little alter boy.

Anyway, I just picked up a couple new Christmas discs.

Chicago - Whats It gonna Be Santa?

Pretty groovey....

Thenthere's the one I got just because I couldn't believe they did a Christmas Album....

The Crash Test Dummies (Remember Mmmm, Mmmm, Mmmm ?)

There's a few cool things on here, but a couple are really weird (like White Christmas) and even bizarre (Jingle Bells)

I'd recommend it for the fun and novelty factor.

It's not the best CD made, but definitely NOT the worst...

I spent two years in retail, working for one of the UK’s leading electrical stores. For two whole months leading up to Christmas it was company policy that we play the “Christmas Hits” tape.

As a consequence, let us say I am not a fan of Christmas music. I’m not a fan of Christmas either having seen what an obnoxious bunch of bad tempered people it turns customers in to.

I have come across one Christmas song I like. It’s by an Australian comedian and is rather crude, but very funny.

The other thing I have found curious about Christmas is that many people will treat me as an outcast for not liking it. There are plenty of other religious festivals I feel I have no right to celebrate, why don’t I get any flack for that?

Ok I just got back from the Trans Syberian Orchestra concert and I swear it gives me goose bumps every time!
