Character pictures from the marathons

Uh-oh... Did you say character pictures from the events?!?!? This is why some of us run. I'm loving this new subforum! :sohappy:
Doug, love love love the Robin Hood guys all together. You are absolutely right about Little Jon; I consider him to be one of the rarest we've ever seen. We saw him once (and were lucky enough to get a picture) in the MK, Christmas Day 2005. Oddly enough, Darkwing was out in Town Square at the same time.
Now on to a few character pictures from the races... most of you have seen mine as they were in my trip reports but I'd like to see this thread grow. I hope everyone starts posting theirs, too!

Maybe Darkwing is a staple for the full marathon... here he is outside of the Animal Kingdom:
And one more for today... keeping with the AK theme: Safari Donald and Daisy!

I, too, really enjoyed the army men during the Princess. I'd call their interactions with the ladies more "strong encouragement" than actual cheering. :lol: They were fabulously in character. In our photo one of them even made like he was looking through a set of binoculars.

In this year's full marathon, there were stilt walkers on an overpass somewhere between Animal Kingdom and the Hollywood Studios park. That is the killer stretch of the race where many people hit the wall. Of course, to get up on top of that overpass, we had to run up the cloverleaf ramp, which further kills your legs. . . and I remember being so frustrated that as the stilt walkers moved around, they could move faster than most of us runners at that point! :lol:

My FAVORITE part of the race. Louis was coming out of his trailer and I ran over to him and then he just jogged with me till we got to Princess Tiana and Prince Navid.

You have to upload your pics to a photo host like Photobucket or one of those. Once your pic is uploaded, copy the direct link code (starts with the http
, come to your open text box on this website, click the little postcard looking icon just to the right of center of the tool bar, then paste the code there. That's it. It'll show up. :wave:
