Cars was one of the best movies, in my opinion. The worst movie had to be The Incredibles. It was too short, had a dumb plot, and had bad jokes. It is Pixar's worst movie, but that doesn't mean it is bad. On the contrary.![]()

Should DHS get Carsland? Simply no. DCA needs all the attendance it can get and WDW doesn't need to steal yet another ride. Also this is my first post. I decided to join because I knew absolutely nothing about WDW but know everything about DLR. I have never visited WDW either but go to DLR every 1-2 months. So I am a DLR Vet

Steal? Last time I checked Tower of Terror, Star Tours, Space Mountain, Innoventions and It's Tough To Be A Bug were WDW originals but they are at the DLR now as well.
Umm, I believe Star Tours was at DLR first. At its not stealing. It's laziness on the part of Disney.
 I think it looks great! Much nicer and more realistic than the average ride vehicle (eg the boats on Peter Pan). It also reminds me of a Ferrari!
Sorry, I disagree, Raven - it is laziness. Yes, I completely understand that R&D is significantly less (i.e., next to nothing) to simply poach a ride from another park, but that doesn't make it right. The Magic Kingdom should be fairly universal with some tweaks at each resort, but the other parks should be unique, I think. So, for example, It's Tough to be a Bug is a very appropriate Animal Kingdom attraction. It doesn't belong in DCA. That is just being lazy, instead of developing an attraction that fits the theme. I'm not trying to say there should be no duplicates, but it seems there is a lot of poaching going on and I call that laziness (you call that cost effective, I suppose).
And it's absolutely ridiculous that Soarin in Epcot is still Soarin over California. Come on?!? It can't be that expensive to make a new movie for either Soarin over Florida or Soarin over the Land (world). I have no problem poaching the ride system - but the attraction should fit the theme of the park.
I would love it if Carsland came to DHS, because I go to WDW more than DLR, but, I would love it even more if DHS developed its own, equally amazing attraction instead. That said, I don't want to overly complain here because I am happy when Disney improves its parks and brings new attractions. Period. I would just be happier, if those attractions were specifically developed to enhance the theme of the park, instead of being a cost-effective copy of another resort's attraction.

I think they need to re-theme Rock-N-RollerCoaster to be Cars themed instead of based on Aerosmith. I think that would be pretty sweet. They could still do the black lights and the route 66 deal. No carland though...
Hate to say it, but TT came first. JTTCOTE refined it 3 years later, but still has some issues.Test Track wasn't the first Disney ride to use this technology. Journey to the Center of the Earth at Tokyo DisneySea was the first and includes a small section outside as well.

They're not poaching anything (what does that mean anyway?). All the parks are owned by the same company. Personally, I agree with Raven. They are trying to let as many people experience an attraction as possible. each park still has it's own attractions that won't be repeated, i.e. Expedition Everest. And, when they duplicate an attraction, the design is different so it's not exactly the same.
They are very similar to F430 headlights. I believe Fiat was a big sponsor of the movie.
Consider: Luigi is a Fiat 500, then at the end Michael Schumacher (Ferrari F1 driver) comes in as a Ferrari F430 accompanied by two Maserati Quattroportes.
Fiat owns Ferrari and Maserati.

Well, I don't want to get into a huge debate, because I definitely see the merits of taking attractions from one park and putting them in another. It is relatively inexpensive, and allows people to see the attractions without traveling as far - I get that. But, think about this (and please correct me if I am wrong) - when Epcot, DHS, Animal Kingdom, and DCA opened, how many rides in those parks were duplicates of attractions found at another park? As best as I can remember, only one, and that was Star Tours. I can't think of another.
Granted, all those parks needed more attractions, but instead of developing unique attractions, they began borrowing (poaching, stealing, using - whatever word you want here) from other parks. This is cheap and easy, but I think takes away some from the specialness of each park. It seems lately, there is a lot of this borrowing going on, and while on one hand, it is great as it adds the number of attractions, on the other hand, I think it takes away from the uniqueness of the parks. I think this is lazy (or cheap).
So, for Carlsand, my selfish side definitely wants to see it at DHS, as I live in Virginia and go to WDW much more than DLR/DCA, and the BLT could sure use a replacement, but my other side thinks it should be a DCA only attraction and DHS should have its own unique and amazing attraction. I see both sides (heck, I want both sides), but I still think it is a bit of laziness (or cheapness, I also now accept that term).
