From what I hear there are plans but MI coaster is farther along. Martin would know better than me however.

I would think they would be able to do that much faster than building a coaster, but I guess that before doing so they need to further expand Pixar Place into the Backlot area in order for A Bug's Life playground to make sense in there. Or maybe they could change the entrance's location. :shrug:

Yea and I would imagine that they would seal the Entrance from the City to make the new entrance part of PS.

Any word on when/if the playground will be re-themed to A Bug's Life?

Last I heard it would be when Phase 3 opens since this will entail major works and theming in the vicinity of the playground and restaurant.

There again, I wouldn`t be surprised if the diner and the playground were themed sooner since Carsland is some way off - if at all - and the M:I Coaster would push the Pixar theme further along PP.

So, Pixar Place will slowly expand to start taking up land that once belonged to the Backlot Area?! That is fantastic news to me. I feel like that area is the park's biggest problem, since it heavily relies on an activity that the park no longer features.

Does the Playground mean the Honey I shrunk the Kids backyard?

That should be turned into a LOST jungle and then add some LOST dark ride some place close by.
