Can Spaceship Earth be converted to another ride?

I can't stand the Magic Wand thing on S.E., I think it makes it look tacky for some reason - it was much better when the ball had nothing at all on the top - it looked more geometric and natural.

Not to burst anyone's bubble.... BUT I WILL ANYWAYS!!!!

Average wait times:

Test Track- 1 hr 15 min
Maelstrom- 45 min

Spaceship Earth-- Do they ever really use those rope things anymore??? I mean really.. it's a shorter wait than the TTA!:D

If there is I wouldn`t know being as I didn`t get to ride it,you see my family is very impatient and If they have to wait for more the 45 min. they don`t go on it.

You know this is a good thread because I had an Idea.

It would be Time Racers, and could be like the Time Rover at Dinosaur. But could have a cool storyline, and stuff. Your whipping around inside the ball, and twisting, and turning. It would be great.

Disney don't take out SE, put it somewhere else!

Joking...!!!
At least I gotcha with that one..
WDI doesn't spoil money on these kind of $#@ faces...
Although it wouldn't look bad with the microsoft sponsoring etc..

There's only one thing I really don't get, is why everyone is thinking that the new ride HAS to be a High Speed Ride...
Time Racers could well be seen as a sequel to Spaceship Earth, which ride ENDED with the Internet, while the Time Racers ride STARTS with the internet and ends up with time travel...

I mean NO "Tron" things, Just Time Travel...

Because Spaceship Earth is a ride based on technology. The haunted mansion is a ride about ghosts, a theme that is timeless.

That`s kewl!:D IT was quite easy to get me on that one being that I have not gone on it in about 3 years.:D and as far as updates,I have no problem with updates, just gutting the whole ride that bothers me.

get your facts straight before posting. Splash Mountain has several drops, and Kali DOES have them.. just not to the degree one is accustomed to by Splash Mountain

If you go during a normal traffic flow time (late morning, afternoon) the ride is empty. It is only crowded when the park opens because it is the first thing people see. That would happen to any ride that was right in the front of the park that people have to pass.

Which is exactly why Disney usually lines park entrances with shops and holds the major rides toward the back of the park:

AK--Kilimanjaro Safaris, Lion King, Kali, DINOSAUR
MGM--Tower of Terror, RnR (not at the back, but a long walk past many shops), Fantasmic!, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire
Epcot--Epcot kind of breaks the rules, due to its set-up, but the major pavilions in Future World are still pushed to the side
Magic Kingdom--Pirates of the Caribbean, Space, Splash, Thunder, Haunted Mansion

If Time Racers was a dark ride that was NOT a roller coaster I would be more willing to accept that then anything else.

Well...to each his own...but the screams coming from each of these rides would certainly lead one to believe you are in the minority...I personally find the Slippin' Falls drop to be the best one in the ride--feels like a roller coaster.

I scream on:
1) Tower of Terror
2) Rock 'n' Roller Coaster
3) Test Track
4) Maelstrom
5) Pirates of the Caribbean
6) Splash Mountain
7) Big Thunder Mountain
8) Space Mountain
9) "it's a small world"
10) Kali River Rapids
11) DINOSAUR

and I'm not a teenage girl...neither are the other people in my family, elevator, limo, car (GM, of course), boat, log, train, space shuttle, raft, or Time Rover.
