Britney Gets Wet

Do you think it's too much for boys in the 10-14 year old range? My kids have seen Phantom, and they really enjoyed the experience. I'd like to introduce them to some of the other quality musicals on tour (and besides, wifey and I want to see it).

*ahem*

I don't believe you're going to have much luck finding anything of note. There are a few pics of Britney sunbathing topless, but they don't show much (from what I've heard ;)). There are also some stills of her infamous "nipple slip" at some awards show, but again, not much to see.

You can head over to this place and register if you want to take a peek.

Sorry Marky I think all we have in the house is wine. We don't drink beer here....

And Miss Saigon is not really appropriate for young children... (although I saw it in NY during the last months of it's run and it was AMAZING). If you like rock musicals Rent is great (and I have it in my head right now but again not for kids). Into the Woods is a good one for kids, I wish I had seen it in LA with Vanessa Williams. I never got to see Phantom in NY but I did see it when it was in SF twice and fell in love with it... :). I am a little musical obsessed.

Oh.. and if anyone has the chance.. see Lion King in LA before it closes and go see the tour of Aida.. Aida is amazing .... especially in NY with Adam Pascal. OMG.. and for the girls.. HE'S one WE can drool over.

Okay I've attributed to thread drift. I appologize... *goes back to her corner and hopes no more fighting goes on.*

Continuing with the thread drift and as a Broadway lover myself... hehe :animwink:

I paid $45usd for The Phantom´s matinee on a saturday... but of course, they were mezzanine tickets (not too bad after lights went off and we quickly switched places! hehehe), but my sister managed to get $75usd tickets for THIRD ROW!! It was amazing! I love Phantom and have seen it twice in NY.

I saw Les Miserables in Toronto, but didn´t really get it too much... I was younger also and it was in French with subtitles on the big screens, but didn´t get the feeling too much...

I would also recommend seeing The Lion King... I paid $125usd for a third row ticket (broker) in NY and LOVED IT! We were crying during the show! We could even see the singer´s cavities! lol and I think it is a lot more appropiate for kids (as well as adults).

Stomp was great, Beauty and the Beast, Grease, etc... I saw those touring and impressed me a lot, specially Stomp.

Ok, I'm just gonna pop in here and say one thing before I head off to Wyoming. You guys all messed up when you said she's not an artist an listed why, because you really should look into stuff before posting it. For one thing, she does write her own music, she wrote 5 of the 12 songs off her new album (Also, 36 songs were written for the thing, the 12 remaining are just what made it, who knows how much more she wrote?). Also, she currently plays piano and guitar and is working on the bass. Lastly, she now does most of her own choreagraphy, and she co-wrote and produced the whole tour I just unfolded for you. And I know she lip-synchs, but she sings too, trust me. Maybe once you've attended one of her shows, you can speak, but until then... shhhhh!

-Jake

PS-
I'd much rather watch a show with the depth of Cirque Du Solei then watch her sit on a stool and sing for two hours, but hey... maybe i just have more taste, I dunno. ;)

Don't you EVER tell me what to think....it's a free country.

And until you study music for 15 years like I have, I suggest you dont' try to contradict me on why she is or isn't an artist.

Learn 4 chords, and then you'll know 1 more than she does.

And just because she plays piano, and can make a snowball doesn't make her an artist. When she doesn't need anybody to write anything for her because she has become her own person is the day she'll take the first steps.

And how about this? I'm gonna take it a step further....Pop music is so simplistic, anybody who performs it should not be considered an artist. Entertainers, sure....but definitely not artists.

Sorry, just trying to maintain some perspective before we get too far off-course here.

Let's be real, here, men. There are several things in life more important than the bi-lateral protrusions of flesh existing on the upper frontal torso of the adult human female.

 If you want to know what those more important things are, give me a few days...I'll think of something.:D
