If they were putting in the footings for the DHS spur in the pictures you posted, then why don't we see the switches for that spur in the construction pictures?
That's a good question and I asked that myself. The answer I got was that it was an unnecessary expense at that time and can be Installed at a later date. The footers were necessary because the loud noise of digging them and pouring concrete would be disruptive to guests. Adding the switched not so disruptive,

Thanks. I found them, and can't see myself either any footers being buried. I've located the positions of the proposed pylons infront of Energy, yet from multiple construction images I have of ghe area there is no evidence these were ever built let alone covered.
Those pics do not show the footer in question. I could have posted the wrong photos. I'll have to go through my photo archive.

Disruptive to guests? Having to bring cranes in to lift the switxching beams into place would be fairly disruptive.

It's all the same thread. Different messages. Same page, in fact. Posted just a few minutes apart. I recommend reading the posts after and before those too.

In the end, it's all the same message over the threads (and years)....

The sound of the concrete trucks I guess is loud. You guys are slaves drivers! I'm going to have to go back and find the source of where that was quoted from. I believe it was Card Walker who said that but probably someone else of importance within the company from that time period.

That sounds backwards to me. Footers could easily be put after the fact, whereas switches would require that the monorail be shut down. I also don't buy the argument that putting in the footers would be disruptive. They have build entire pavilions with the park operational which would lead far more construction noise over a much longer period of time then building a couple monorail footers.

I'm just passing along what I read from the people who made these decisions. Ask them, not me.

Maybe it was decisions such as those that caused that management team to get the axe, clearing the way for Eisner and Wells?
