Hey, guys!
As you know, I am from Brazil but I :hurl: don't really like that, you know, so I have been resisting to some Brazilian habits, like speaking loud or cutting in line. Well, the Brazilian bikini wax was one of them, I always thought it was a savage habit, as it hurts like hell, and my friends would tell me about the hot wax touching your skin, and about the pain of having it removed like a band-aid, with all that hair stuck on it.... However, the blade has been giving me allergies, and the hair remover cream too. :fork: So I was forced to face the Bikini Wax challenge. I suffered a lot, but in the end, I survived. But I still have the same opinion: it's a savage ritual, in which you feel you're being sacrificed to some kind of ancient God. You feel like telling the lady to stop, you call her names, and of course, you curse a lot. But I only curse in English (in Portuguese it sounds too ugly and vulgar), so the girl didn't understand anything I said. After more than an hour of sweating and cursing, she had to finish it with the twizers (sp.?), to remove difficult hair. I didn't let her do that. It was too much. Now I will have to go back there on Tuesday, as the difficult hair grew a bit more, and it's not that difficult anymore (the girl says).
I know this information is good for nothing, but I just wanted to share this experience with you guys, and give you girls a glimpse of beauty habits in Brazil!
I hope my aunt brings me a miracle cream from the USA, that doesn't give me allergies and I don't have to wax again!
