Ouch, I think the tweezer bit would hurt more. But, Yes, you are very brave!... Tell us how it is the second time, b/c I've heard it's not nearly as bad (yeah right)..

  Duck Tape... When I was about 5 years old I duck taped my whole entire body  OUCH!! That hurt like crazy. I remember my mom trying to put me in a bath full of baby oil, and me trying to peel it off. What a stupid thing I did :hammer:

I bought some wax at the store today to try on my legs. You know, I think the worst part of it is getting my leg hairs long enough to be able to wax them. :lookaroun They're driving me crazy!! I don't know how the men do it. :lookaroun

HAve you tried Nair? :D

I've never been waxed. During swimsuit season, I shave. One time, I decided that Nair would be more effective. I'd used it occasionally for legs, and I could have sworn the package said "for use on bikini area." However, suddenly my whole nether regions felt like they were on fire! I rinsed off hurriedly, and grabbed the package, which warns you not to get it on or in "eyes, ears, nose, genitals..."

Hi, guys!!

I've just done the second round of the bikini wax and... ouch!!!!!!! it hurt even more, because the region I waxed this time had more hair, and was more sensitive (had never been waxed before). But I survived. Only coming back there in 3 weeks, or a month. My!! So many replies! And I thought the subject was not interesting!!

Well, a bikini wax here costs $10 reais, which would be like 4 dollars. Although it burns a bit, and hurts like hell, it's a very common practice here. No, the lady didn't massage anything, she just put some oil on the region afterwards. It still hurts a bit. And the tweezers... well,we are used to them too. It's very common to have your eyebrows shaped with tweezers, I am already used to it. It doesn't seem that savage, you know. And well, on the eyebrows tweezers hurt less than waxing your legs or bikini line.

Yes, I have used Nair, and it's very nice, but it's too expensive here. When my aunt goes to Orlando next month, I will order some Nair. But only for my legs. It gives me allergies on the bikini line. I think I will have to keep on waxing...

Right now, my skin looks like a chicken skin (right after removing all the feathers). But after 2 days,it's as smooth as a baby's skin, and it keeps like this for around 2 weeks. The hair is removed from the root, and I saved a piece of wax with lots of hair stuck to show my sister. If I can, I will take a picture of it and post it here (no... it's too disgusting...I'll post it on my photopage, and post the link here). You'll have your picture, STR8FAN2005!!!

A) You're braver than I.
B) Maybe that's why Nair stung like a horsefly. Perhaps I'm allergic.

Actually, I don't think Brazilian Bikini Wax's are that bad. I mean, if you get back the INTENSE pain once your hair is ripped out... it leaves a nice, smooth area...so don't knock it, cos at least it's super-smooth... unlike if you were going to shave or... use Nair. I don't even know... can you use Nair down there?

Baha I rhymed.

Yeah, that's exactly how I think. I guess that's what gave me so much courage!!!
lunalovegoddess, Nair didn't burn me while I was using it, but my skin had some blisters afterwards... And yeah, I am a bit brave, it's the little bit of Brazilian blood I have. Brazilian people are known to be brave. "We are survivors", they say. "We have to fight every day"... "I am Brazilian, I never surrender"...These are some things they like to say. I rarely say "I am Brazilian", because I don't feel that way. I say "I am from Brazil", or "I live in Brazil".

I'm afraid I'll just have to refrain from ever wearing a Brazilian bikini.

I don't like them either, they are just too small. But American bikinis seem weird to me. They just don't match my Brazilian body...
