Brazil Pavilion in Epcot?

On one end countries are culturally/historically/geographically related - Canada, UK, France - but the rest of the way around it's random. So I doubt if that will be much of a consideration.

At least it seems random, which leads me to a question...how did the designers come up with where the original pavilions would be located? hmm...

I can't believe this is happening... even though our insiders have confirmed (or dropped some hints to confirm). It's been so long since we got a new country that I find it hard to believe.

I don't know why people are saying they don't want Brazil (Brasil)!?! Just b/c the tour groups may annoy doesn't mean the country is a bad place. It's a beautiful country with a lot of different culture, landscape, and architecture.

I'm interested to see how they would design this pavilion. I have had the privilege to visit this country quite a few years ago with World Vision Canada. I saw Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, and Recife.

And of course, I would love to see a ride or some sort of attraction.

Soooo, does any of insiders know anything? Do we know what will be included in the pavilion? How far along are we in development? When will we see this pavilion?

This is very exciting news, an addition to WS is way overdue. However, If I was in charges of choosing a country to add, Brazil would be pretty far down the list. The fact that the add is going to be Brazil is really dragging down my excitement level. I would much rather see Russia, or the Netherlands, or Egypt or India. I mean their are so many other countries I would put ahead of Brazil. Alas, these are not my decisions to make. So Brazil it is, in the summer time you may as well get some caution tape and rope it off though, bc the tour groups are going to essentially take it over.

Heavens to betsy, leave Brazil alone..... Its a great country, and Disney can't just pick what country to put in. They need/require an country to be sponsored. Lets just be grateful, perhaps this new country will inspire future growth.

thread win.

For all you bashers, give it a chance.

Wait until it is announced and built, if ever. I hate the tour groups a much as anybody, but Disney has done some awesome stuff lately.

Brazil is one of the stronger economies right now, so it could be done right.

It would, and I would love to see it happen. But if I was in charge and I had a choice between Brazil and India, I would pick Brazil for the simple reason of numbers: more Brazilian tourists come to WDW than India.

I just feel you could build a stronger cultural experience based on India. Even if there is a section at DAK, it would be a fun way to add some new life to WS. I think Brazilian tour groups will show up regardless.

I guess that at this point letting you guys know it makes no difference since our wonderful insiders have pointed towards this happening, but many news programs on TV here have reported on the subject, even saying that two Brazilian ministers will be helping out on the project.

Agreed, I am 28 and I don't remember when Norway opened up along with any news about DHS.

Costa Rica should be put back into the running. There is so much culture and nature to include in the pavilion. There could even be an indoor zip line that glides through the jungle with a waterfall and a water ride/boat ride. Costa Rica's rain forest are some of the greatest in the world. Plus who doesn't love Gallo Pinto?? PURA VIDA!!
