I'd rather see the space used for ride(s). Who's with me?
I think that's what most of us have been saying - have a Brazil pavilion with a ride (or other attraction)!

It’s just sad... It seems that Brazil was the closest we got to having some new breath at World Showcase. I wonder if those rumors of more pavilions by 2025 were also not postponed.
Got your point of view“Seems” is relative...
The reality is the deal is bad for the sponsor/host and that’s why it never gets all that close
And being an “Epcot first” kinda guy...it’s an opinion I wish i was wrong on.Got your point of view
It actually carried on for a while with no sponsor. Then uncle Bob decided he wouldn’t pay.“Seems” is relative...

I can understand why they would struggle to find companies to sponsor the whole pavilion. The old EPCOT sponsorship model seems dead. It does surprise me, though, that they can't find outside vendors to sign lucrative leases for a Brazilian churrascaria or perhaps a Havianas store that would help pay for the construction and upkeep of the pavilion. Some kind of branding/sales deal for Brahma beer would also seem like something Anheuser-Busch would consider. Who knows, maybe not.It actually carried on for a while with no sponsor. That’s always what it comes down too. I think you know this has been a revolving door since 1983.It actually carried on for a while with no sponsor. Then uncle Bob decided he wouldn’t pay.

Without a ride, the pavilions are not that different from miniature malls, if we're honest. Shouldn't be that hard to get it to make sense financially.
Disney has always wanted severe terms in longterm financial support...which always ends up being the deal killer.Tourism is bigger than ever. International business investment is bigger than ever. I don't believe that sponsorship doesn't work in a park like Epcot. It's viable in both in Futureworld and in International Showcase.
I believe the "sponsorship doesn't work" meme is propagated by bean counters focused on easy, short term profits based IP based merch, not by visionaries who take a long term view of guest experience.
Many people love Epcot more than any other park, specifically because of the scientific-cultural theme. Turn it into a pale imitation of MK or DHS and these people are not going to be as attracted to WDW.
