Rumor Brazil (and maybe others) Pavilion Coming to Epcot [not about Brazilian people nor a country wish list]

It's odd that he would already be in Brazil recruiting for a pavilion where no construction has begun.

That being said, the project was definitely greenlit, but I also heard it was stopped about 60 days ago give or take. Who knows what the true status is currently, but I do know that not everything is ever announced at D23. I'm not sure why we are putting so much faith in D23 over people on this board who have proven track records every bit as reliable as Disney. In fact, give me the two or three most reliable ones over Disney any day of the week - especially the one who loves Epcot Center and hates sleeves.

So... I've been a part of this community for well over a decade, once spending every day adding and removing points on the Games forum so Jafar would beat out Hook as best villain (which was hard with a user with the screenname "Captain Hook" battling against me), once trying to start off imagineering threads for a Switzerland Pavilion and a Disney America on the Concept board that I never followed through on due to getting busy with college, once starting trip reports that I never finished due to life making me too busy to continue, always hearing the criticism of Jim Hill and Al Lutz everywhere (Now there's a Voldemort-type presence everyone keeps referring to, and I'm unsure if it's one of these sources or another because nobody ever says the name). I've watched Lee and Raven and other insiders (there was one with a Yoda avatar whose name escapes me at the moment) give us the behind the scenes scoop. While I love Parkeology and read through numerous blogs from time to time, this has always been my Disney home and I trust this place to be the real source of news. Just to show you where I'm coming from here. I fully believed this was coming through and even now have been hoping, not lapsing into a lack of faith until there's a confirmation from a source that it is indeed dead rather than the laughs on my posts and cryptic quiet.

I am working on designing a custom Epcot on the Minecraft server I screw around on to unwind and turn my mind off. While looking for a plan of The Seas to go off of, I found a blueprint I'd never seen before of the Israel pavilion. Looking for a better picture I was led to a blog and one more click led me...

It’s worth noting that art was superseded.

Indiana must have a big immigrant population?
Because there is only one Brazil food place where I live and I know the managers. Anywhere else here is over four hours away in new Orleans. A port city where there are a ton TON of different restaurants and places.

Anywhay, the whole point of the pavilion is to learn more about the people and culture. NOT about rides.
If it gets a ride? Cool! But it'll be great on its own.
And a carnaval parade on a smaller scale would be cool.
A good attraction for kids. The costumes and music would be fun!
Immigrants are not a problem. They enrich our society!! 🙂
Why does it matter it the proprietor is an immigrant as long as they are here legally?

I hope you enjoy an attraction-free Brazil. For me, it will be a disappointment.

If you see art of Brazil with the Skyliner in the background, that’s going to be more recent concept art.
That said I saw this over a year ago, so it may have changed.

Have you tried Tucano's up in Noblesville at Hamilton Town Center? It's delicious and basically half the price of Fogo! As another Indy resident, I can confirm that we have a handful of Brazilian steakhouses.

How did I know that @Sirwalterraleigh would be in here focusing solely on Brazil not being announced and ignoring all of the other things that insiders have been discussing here for years that were finally confirmed? At least he's consistent.

We’re on the east side, so yeah. We like Gaucho on Emerson too.

How can Disney promote a Brazilian pavilion when the gov is cutting down the forest and then setting them on fire?

The Brazilian pavilion project has come a long way, so I can’t see them scrapping in now, but we all know the troubled history of WS pavilions.

Because no pavilion outside of Morocco did the country pay the sponsorship, it is just companies from the country that pays for the sponsorship of the rides, shops, etc.

No I'm saying a countries internal struggles are not the concern of the guests or TWDC.

My point is, as much as I want to get the details on the new pavilion, they have plenty of time. Everything new doesn’t have to be announced at D23. A good time might be when Universal drops more info on Epic Universe.

I just hope the design is not locked and there is still time to add an attraction.

When you look at the history of most countries in World Showcase you can find shameful acts. I won't make a list, but like most humans those countries are flawed with terrible mistakes. The showcase gives those countries a chance to shine and show why we should forgive the bad and look for the good. I'm not saying forget either. If TWDC chooses to place Brazil into the World Showcase the same philosophy must apply as it should with any country they add.

Not sure if Brazil would be my first choice, but I'm not running the show. After seeing what they are doing to France and the United Kingdom pavilions I would not object to the same being done to Germany and Italy before adding another country, especially if there is no ride or attraction in the new pavilion. I am over the ruining Epcot with IP's routine, and after 30 years of stagnation would like to see something, IP or Not.
