My hat's off to them if they can surprise us. It would be a masterpiece of secrecy.
Well, if it happens, Star Wars land won't be that big of a surprise. It's been reported to be under discussion for some time by reputable sources and let's not forget the recent survey. The speed would impress me though. If it happens, it will be the fastest the normally cautious Iger has ever made such a bold decision.

At the February earnings call, when asked about Star Wars, Iger did say:
But there is activity across our businesses, including online and mobile apps, and television, and consumer products, and publishing, as you would expect; and Parks and Resorts, that we've been working on now for quite some time. And time will start exposing all of that to the outside world.
The quarter before, Iger said:
Obviously, we've had Star Wars in the past. This gives us an ability to expand that presence in our parks.
Star Wars land might be the biggest announcement at WDW in a long time and much more exciting than the New Fantasyland or Avatarland. Depending on ones particular tastes, it could be the biggest thing since the opening of DAK.
