I'm shocked, months on the forums n I think I founds someon younger then me! You never rode AE or Mr Toads Wild Ride? To be honest, looking back at it (b/c i rode it recently in cali), it really wasnt that good of a ride, but I'll STILL wait in a 20-30 minute line for it b/c of the nastalsia. It's the ride I remember the most from my childhood (id like 2 say it's the 1st ride ive ever ridden, but i, nor my family, knows that). So taking it for a spin is still entertaining for me, even though it lacks pretty much everything.

It's like a run away car and the cool thing is you actually die and go to hell . Just think of riding around in a pop up book. It's more like a carnival ride then a WDW attraction though, but maybe all Fantasyland attractions are like this n i just dont take notice b/c im never riding them. I doubt that pooh is much better (if it uses the same track), but it's just Mr.Toad pimped the toadettes.

Sounds like it really was a unique ride.

And yes, I am pretty young. To give you a hint, I was born the year UoE closed down.

Ae to SGE and i never even went on AE but i went on all the other ones except horizons. MTWR to the winnie the pooh ride gets me mad but hey what can you do right

for me it was the Haunted Mansion referb. Don't get me wrong I love the new HM but I miss the Musty, moldy smell that it had. I know why it had the smell and it was something that needed fixing but I wish they could recreate the smell. I thought that it added to the feel of the whole ride.

Horizons to Mission Space

MS was a huge dissapointment for me and should be considered the biggest downgrade because it was supposed to be a whole space pavillion not just a simulator ride.

I don't see a direct correlation here at all. 20K had been closed for what? 12 years before the lagoon was filled in. We all knew it wasn't coming back. I don't see the playground as a replacement.

It is still a downgrade. Those subs were great and should never have gone. What with all the water based movies Disney has since come out with I could just imagine how the imagineers could have upgraded the 20K ride. There would have to be a new type of fast pass created for such a ride.

I went with AE over SGE. What they did to that attraction is a travesty. The real pity is big companies like Disney are too proud to admit they made a mistake, so they will never change it back.

I went with MTWR because since I was a kid that was one of my favorite rides. I was sad to see it go. Pooh is a good ride and probably more relevant for more daughter but I can't dismiss the nostalgia attched to MTWR.
That said, I see UoE to EEA as an upgrade but.....I still think the ride is toooooooooo long and just an utter waste of time. IMO they should scrap it and create the weather pavilion that I've heard mentioned on here!

WoM->Test Track

WoM was my favorite future world pavilion growing up, so any replacement was going to face a tough standard with me to begin with. Test Track really disapointed. Not very thrilling, Not very interesting, Not very well-themed. And as an added stick in the eye - an often very long wait, since it is Epcot's featured "thrill ride" and so many people aparently only go for the thrill rides.

Same reason i didn't put JII ->JIYI. I was thinking i shouldnt have put up EEA either, but upon second though JII and JIYI has the same two main characters, it just doesnt use the whole track, it was a referb. EEA is a completly different story with different characters (although using dinosaurs still lends credence to the whole referb thing)

it's not an ATTRACTION downgrade (hence my question). There could have been nemo (like in DL), but there isnt, and since there isnt anything it wasnt downgraded TO an attraction

Ummm...have you seen videos of the ORIGINAL JII with Dreamfinder? Because version 2 was completely different. Different story, different characters, different ride. Figment really wasn't even in it.
