Sorry, you have as much of a chance Disney bringing Food Rocks back in place of Soarin' than you do getting AE back. Though this attraction certainly had a following, it received much more backlash than praise. Most agree that it is out of place in MK and could see it in the Studios, and this may be true, but no amount of petitioning will bring it back unfortunately.

The funny thing is that this attraction was one of Eisner's doing, and was generally included as on the list of Eisner's greatest mistakes after the Wells/Katzenburg losses, when his decisions went unchecked (i.e. 1995, ABC/Cap Cities, the Virginia theme park proposal). But then the internet and discussion boards have given AE this "cult" following and Eisner's baby is now lumped into "the days of great Disney attractions gone forever" ... funny how that works
to be honest i dont think the chances are quite that slim. Since there IS another stitch pav AND SGE isn't getting the numbers AE did (or even good numbers at that), and with SPPP opening and SM closing, a quick space eater could be just what they need. And if it doesnt work they close it down again, they close it down with almost no cost for the switch over, stating it didnt work out. and if it does work they have a great attraction on the cheep that brings old and new fans back.

LOL i didn't know that, history is written by the victor, so i guess prevailing minds moved across onto the AE 1/2 man 1/2 amazing bus
Except it was a great attraction. It had a terrific story, wonderful characters, it was funny, and incredibly well written. People were just too dense to read signs and dragged their children on it. Even after they were warned.

There's no reason the attraction "didn't fit" in MK. Why? Because it was scary? So now MK can't have anything remotely scary? Honestly people now-a-days are seriously the biggest babies.
Why didn't they ever just institude a higher height restriction? I dont know too many 'little children' that are 5 feet tall! Just use the height restriction as a crutch, and then when a 'little person' or a shorter teen comes a long, CM's can use there judgement. Or maybe have on the sign, 60 inches or 16. I doubt a parent is gonna try to pass their 5 yearold off as a 16 year old.....wait, hold up we are talking tourists. But atleast they CM can fall back on the 60 inches thing and keep those complain from hittin their ears.

An extra credit question, how much time do you think it would take to switch everything over? Changing the banners and outside queue (like 1 day) put the other video in (like 30 seconds), change the SIR and scruffy program back to the program of old (once again like 1 day since they already have it), install the monster alien and the ride footage and audio effects in the chamber (a couple days), plus the time to sinc everything up and make sure it's in tip top shape. I'm thinking a week if they try. They did the buzz referb in like what, a week too?

Even if this question was humored, they'd have to re-do the pre-show due to the Jeffrey Jones 2002 incident.

But simply put even though it may be "logistically" possible, AE has 0% chance of replacing Stitch ... not to say Stitch has 0% chance of being replaced at some point, but not by its former tenant. Which is a shame, because AE was a quality attraction, as everyone has said.

Great idea Goodtimes!

We should convince some Disney officials to bring back Alien Encounter. If they do I hope they don't put the film Alien in it, I like the dragon, previous version for the ride better.

pooh, stitch, monsters inc laugh floor and finding nemo the musical!

i dont like pooh -anything with winnie the pooh and friends and i never got to go on mr.toads wild ride!
stitch is just everywhere and its kinda annoying and i never got to go on AE!
monsters inc laugh floor -its ok once but its just the same and i dont thinki got to see timekeeper.
i loved tarzan rocks and even though finding nemo the musical is ok i prefer tarzan.

the attractions and shows that were replaced where better than whats in there place now, even if i never went on AE and mr.toads wild ride and saw timekeeper (everyone raves about them so im going with them :animwink: ) -thats what i think.

wel he said new one before, n ive been on the newest one and figment is all over that beast. n i also looked at the origonal (what they're talking about comparing it too), once again riddled in figment. I've never ridden it before the newest version.

also pre GM crap (which i happen to love n it makes the queue not boring), what was all up in the queue?
Well by new one they meant the one that replaced the original, and i tried to give you a description of the ride as best as i could. And i gave the link, im not trying to be mean but im only saying that i did try to explain it to you. :)

Im not an expert on any of this stuff just so you know. I know there are plenty more reliable people on her than me as I dont remember any pavilion not in its current form (except SSE 94 and Living Seas). But I have watched all videos, and did research. When it was the World of Motion there was like a big slot cut in the middle of the building and above you were the ride vehicles going up a track. Then you would enter the building on the right where there was a standard queue.

Here are some videos that may help you understand better. This video was how the entance looked, and thats pretty much most of the current queue. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3TxLbX5rYM

And this is the original queue for wom. Im pretty sure that this is currently where they put you before you go in the room that shows us the intro/ safety video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZxn8SOnNv8

And here are pictures of the WOM building more as a whole and a test track picture so you can compare to see how the buildings changed. :)

Jeffrey Jones was the actor that played Chairman Clench. He was involved in a child ography scandal in 2002. You might know him best as the principal from Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

WHAT!? NO WAY!

But do they REALLY have to change it? I think it was perfectly written and who REALLY knows who that alien is? only fanatics. and besides that, fanatics generally want more of the 'origonal' aka old stuff. so completly changing al the vids might make everyone who WANTS it to come back, to decide not to ride it b/c they removed the old stuff.

Plus no alien tyra....:(

That's a good point, the best comparison is with SSE and the descent and touchscreens.

Uh-Oh.:lookaroun

If the average guest can't even read a warning sign at the entrance to the attraction, they aren't even going to begin to have a clue that Jones was Clench or even what Jones did.
