if they put the Villains land back there it will really make the forced perspective for the Beast’s castle look that much worse…unless they build a fuller size version of the Beast’s castle as part of the land…
I’m not sure you understand where this would potentially be going. It wouldn’t be adjacent or anywhere near FL. And you certainly won’t be able to see any of this from inside Fantasyland.if they put the Villains land back there it will really make the forced perspective for the Beast’s castle look that much worse…unless they build a fuller size version of the Beast’s castle as part of the land…
This is the multiverse they were discussing. It's an alternate dimension where Disney actually builds new rides. Your theme park admission from this dimension won't work there.I predict they will build "Beyond Big Thunder Mountain" but it will cost you an additional $39.00 to get back there. You will need to purchase the Magic Kingdom+ ticket
I’m not sure any of us could confidently say where this would be going, or how big it would be. One diagram had it taking up the land behind BTMRR and FantasylandI’m not sure you understand where this would potentially be going. It wouldn’t be adjacent or anywhere near FL. This stuff - if it ever happen - is going on the north side of Rivers of America
Yeah those are just people spitballing on here. From what actual insiders have indicated, the proposed potential land is much smaller. Also both @marni1971 and @ToTBellHop have mentioned that this would entail losing part of the water and part of the top island in the RoA.I’m not sure any of us could confidently say where this would be going, or how big it would be. edit: this is the diagram I was looking at https://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads...or-magic-kingdom.978721/page-37#post-10385847
It's only like 80% of magic kingdom. I thought villains were the 5th gate? That Villain Land is way too big.
A villain's land could never be too big. That Villain Land is way too big.
I’m saying they won’t build a land that size.A villain's land could never be too big.
Also, there is variety in Disney villains. Some like Maleficent and the Evil Queen are scary, while others like Yzma and Captain Hook and Hades are hilarious. There is a broad range of tones Disney could work with to keep the park from feeling monotonous.
Probably about as boring as a land with all the heroes lined up next to each other, right?I don't think people realize how boring things can be with a land where there would be only antagonists in the attractions all next to each other. That gets old fast.
The heroes typically have antagonists/conflict. That is the balance of a good story and what most attractions have.Probably about as boring as a land with all the heroes lined up next to each other, right?
A villain land can still have heroes. The heroes typically have antagonists/conflict. That is the balance of a good story and what most attractions have.
Here is hoping!A villain land can still have heroes.
Imagine Epic Mickey or Kingdom Hearts in real life.

The idea that the villains are gonna wear out their welcome over the course of a couple 4-8 minute attractions flies in the face of . . . a lot of Disney parks history. The heroes typically have antagonists/conflict. That is the balance of a good story and what most attractions have.
Not me for that bitpart of the top island in the RoA.

The villains have their own distinct vibe that clearly people love. A Villains land, if it happens, will not likely suffer from being boring.
I think MMRR is about 5.5 minutes ride time, no?And I stated prior, this is likely true vs a whole park back in the day in people's wishlist.
I would not hold your breath in 4 to 8 minute attractions though. When is the last time one of those were built at WDW?
Are you serious? Rat. MMRR. RotR. FoP. NRJ. FEA. All over 4 minutes. They actually lengthened Maelstrom. Even Cosmic Rewind is like 3:30 which is very long for a coaster. And then there’s the 15-20 min firework shows. Your negativity is over the top.And I stated prior, this is likely true vs a whole park back in the day in people's wishlist.

Coco is honestly a good transition from Frontierland and they don’t need a derivative of Soarin in a park with Soarin. Encanto would be fine in WS if they were building a Colombia pavilion but they aren’t. Personally, I’d put it in Adventureland but they are looking to expand north of Big Thunder. So they’ll go there.View attachment 666806
Good spot for Coco and/or Encanto. Could expand current building as well or relocate the restaurant even.
Then use all that extra space in MK for
Villians
