I honestly don’t remember. I recall saying something similar maybe once or twice in the past few years but OK bud, I’ll stop. By the way I wasn’t implying that you re a shill. It’s just in your nature to defend as oppose to criticize. You said to stop thinking so hard, so what’s the difference? That’s just calling me out for being too critical.
We've had this same conversation multiple times over the last several years. Again just because I don't go negative doesn't mean I like or defend everything Disney does.

You want me to be real for a second. Ok, I think putting meta backstories in an attraction is silly. But meta is what is all the rage these days, its everywhere. You say don't build for the public, well a business that doesn't do that tends to lose their customers. For all the complaining about what Disney is doing, some miss-steps aside, the Parks couldn't be anymore popular. So obviously they know more about what their customers want then we on some silly forum do.

Stop thinking logically and just enjoy.

LOL.
See, if you just pretend it’s better then it is better.

The Avengers wouldn't notice that the Guardians are being held prisoner because the Terrans are the first visitors (and if we're being fair, the Avengers probably aren't doing a thorough inspection of the entire place so the Collector could have just hid the Guardians up to that point). The Avengers wouldn't know where the Guardians are in the same way Thor didn't know Hulk was on the Grandmaster's planet until he saw him. Seems pretty simple really.
The Avengers don’t notice the sign that literally says “First Time on Display: Guardians of the Galaxy”? In story, seeing the Guardians of the Galaxy is the main reason for visiting.

Yeah that’s a real good point. I honestly just assumed the new sign they had is part of an overall shift in signage around the ride to make it make more sense. But right now yeah that’s a big glaring flaw.

I wonder if there will be any minor alterations to the queue, besides the sign, to support this shift in presentation. As to why no one seems to be helping the Guardians, at this point they seem to have set things up so every hero is otherwise occupied. One thing I'm not sure has been mentioned yet, is the double meaning of the last line, "I look forward to welcoming the Avengers and their exceptional recruits to my collection." The Collector is there to capture the Avengers; the ride is a trap. Hopefully additions are made to improve the relevance and clarity of this vague, blink and you miss it, backstory. I think most will agree the ride is due for a phase two.

Since when is Space Mountain a warehouse?
Did I ever say Space Mountain was a warehouse? I made a clear statement on how I felt about the project and you are entitled to yours without implying nonsense. Just because you don't like to see a huge Avenger's logo in the distance, doesn't mean other won't be just as excited to see it just like they would Space Mountain in the distance on a street based off 1910's America. As I stated if you'd like to actually read my post, if it becomes an issue of the show-building being visible from all four sides in the park it will definitely be a problem and I hope it's off to the side a bit more than the art suggests so that we are only seeing one side of it.

This is what I was talking about. Purposely themed buildings that contribute. Now the Avengers headquarters is essentially a group of office style buildings and it does give them the easy way out.

In the end you have something like this, Spaceship Earth and a warehouse. At DCA we'll have the Cadillac range, GOTG:MB and inbetween a warehouse with an Avengers logo.

I agree with you. My only concern really is Radiator Springs. You will only be seeing the "warehouse" from two angles angles and I'm hoping the warehouse will be far enough back but I have doubts. Will seeing one side of a huge Avenger's logo from other lands bother me though? Not more than anything of the other visual intrusions that occur in both parks. Warehouse or not, seeing the huge A in the distance is another world colliding I'd want to explore. If the other three sides of the warehouse are visible and as ugly/plain as Guardians, then we do have a problem. I really don't think this warehouse will impact any other areas of the park but Radiator Springs, but we shall see as more information is released.

I never said you said that Space Mountain is a warehouse. Space Mountain and your other examples are not warehouse, which makes them different from the Avengers warehouse.

You literally said "since when is Space Mountain a warehouse?" I never said that or implied that. Also my post was about worlds colliding, so the topic of all visual intrusions, mountain or warehouse, all fit the same topic. You seem to be talking about the overall design, I'm talking about the one side of the warehouse you'll see off from the distance, which is exactly what my post was responding too. Seeing an Avenger's logo from across the park is no different than seeing Space Mountain from New Orleans. If we want to talk about design, I'm very much worried about seeing this thing up close while in Radiator Springs but I don't think it will effect the rest of the park.

So we have a living, breathing land that’s actively looking for recruits but they don’t know about the huge fortress behind them that captured some of their friends? I say keep it the old fashioned way and don’t explain stuff or make it make sense.

Keep in mind this is the second story after KABLAM. Also keep in mind that GOTG overlay was done in haste to get Marvel into the parks. Any story made up is just an excuse to make sense of an attraction that doesn’t make sense in its location- before or after the Avengers expansion. It wasn’t purpose built to be a Guardians attraction. They didn’t even bother to have it match the aesthetic of the land that it was going to end up in. So what’s to defend?
Wasn’t the GOTG makeover of ToT described at the time as the first step of an eventual Marvel land?
I believe it was always envisioned as within the eventual Avengers Campus and not just hastily thrown together to add some Marvel somewhere.

It was planned for a Marvel land before they knew what a Marvel land would be. It was a rush job to get Marvel in the parks.

Like, he plans on adding Avengers to the collection?
i feel like we’re all looking at this from the perspective of seasoned vets while the story is written more for people who’ve never been to DCA before/know nothing about mission:breakout. not trying to excuse it, because it’s a really half-baked way to incorporate an existing story into an all-new one, but it clicks a little more if you imagine your introduction to the campus also being your introduction to M:B (this is also assuming the guardians are already avengers in this universe. because if not, that’s extra dumb)

I was curious about what the comics had for the team in CA. The West Coast Avengers HQ was 40 miles west of real life GotG:MB, overlooking the beach in Palos Verdes. Once they disbanded it became Avengers Academy
