True. When was the last time we got something stateside that was truly something we had never seen? Not a 2.0 version or a plussing of something. Indiana Jones? Soarin Over California? I guess you could argue ROTR but that’s just more the combining of many different components that we have seen.
Yup. ROTR is nothing but a trackless dark ride. Soarin was unique but now it is everywhere. Indy I always considered a Test Track ride. That suspended flying carpet type ride would have been unique as would the walking Bantha ride. It's just hard to get excited for something everywhere has.

rotr is a bit more than "just" a trackless dark ride imo. I consider RotR one of the best things Disney has made in the last 5ish years

The ride experience is essentially that but I think the connotation of saying so is a bit harsh considering the fact that it goes up and down elevators combined with the drop / simulator portion and the transport simulator in the queue. Considering that ROTR combines so many different elements an argument could be made for it being unique. But it isn’t Indy where we had never seen anything remotely like that before.

Yes right on top of the corpse of the ROA.
Can't deny that.
I know some were saying that the kuka arms would have been used for the original Avengers Attraction but it wasn't working out the way imagineers wanted. We're still getting the kuka arms, but now as a flat ride in the form if Stark Flight Labs. That Attraction will be the only Disney Attraction to use that ride system 😀

Didn’t Universal patent that? I guess a slight modification by Disney and they re in the clear? I’m intrigued by the Stark Flight Lab ride just because it’s an interesting choice of ride system to “waste” on a C ticket flat ride. Wondering how they dress it up.

Kuka arms that Stark Flight Labs is the same thing I rode twenty years ago at Legoland call Knight's Tournament.

Speaking of, taking the kids to Legoland for the first time in a couple weeks. Any tips?
Legoland is great for kids under 12 will enjoy it. We always go to right and hit things in order. Make sure to take time build some lego.
Stark Flight Lab is going to be on a conveyer belt and can pick guests seats up, and put them down to detach them, so very different ;)
and it tosses you around in the air. Not different. Besides, Forbidden Journey has arms on track as a themed dark ride. SFL will just zip around a room. what we need is arms on a rollercoaster!!!

My son is 9 and really into legos so I’m sure he’ll love it as will my daughter. Just glad we waited and didn’t go last year. Looks like a lot opens up for you at Legoland when you hit 36 inches.

Legoland is a long drive and there isn't much for adults to enjoy. Your kids are the perfect age to really get a kick out of it.
