LOL, don't give them ideas.Guys, be optimistic. They can always reuse the Marvel figures from It's a small world with Groot when they remove the overlay in Tokyo.

I agree - I think this is TDA's seeing if they can get Rise of the Resistance type of popularity with something that costs half as much. And I think zero animatronics is part of that objective.Haha no I was talking figures but maybe we can come up with another over/ under for those type of things. With that said, I don’t think the line would move. I barley have enough confidence that we’ll get 2-3 figures.

My realistic over/under is 2. One King Thanos and One Hulk.Under, too easy! I’d set the line at about 2.5.

I'm just basing it on the concept art at the moment. I mean having a huge Hulk AA that holds the vehicle back from danger like in the concept art would be awesome and impressive. But having any other Avenger as an AA would be cool too with the final being the King Thanos AA.I think the King Thanos AA might make the Hulk one a bit redundant. If they re only going to have two AAs a different avenger would make more sense. Granted, Hulk would make for a great AA.
I am also hoping for a lot from this ride. I believe there are many engaging things they can do with the ride system, the Jurassic World attraction in Beijing bearing examples mentioned here before. That being said, for the animatronics my guess would be under, predicting two. One in the pre-show and one for the finale.
Im convinced we only got the 4th avengers campus ride (iron man ride) because they had already invested in the kuka arm ride system that was meant for the original avengers e ticket (the one that involved the jetpack seat). Had that not been far along, I doubt we’d get more rides after infinity Defense.I’m tempering my expectations…
1. Disney hasn’t wowed me with any new attractions in the last few years
2. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure - I don’t care about the constraints or that it was a retheme or different team than Avengers. Disney delivered a steaming pile of crap as a replacement for one of their most iconic attractions of all time.
3. If this is an Avengers version of Pan than the ceiling is probably not very high
4. Space constraints and the fact they chose to cram the 4th ride in that space too.
5. Screen focused attraction.
I think we're all feeling that to various degrees, especially in the wake of how they modified Splash. It doesn't help that Spiderman was the attraction that preceded it in Anaheim. It's almost certain that they will be borrowing Pan's ride system at this point. Opinions will vary, but I think most will admit that Tokyo's Peter Pan is at least superior to the previous two rides opened on our coast. That's a start. Of course, I would feel more confident if they would be more forthright about this ride, one they've kept us in suspense about for too long.’m tempering my expectations…

I’m so disappointed because we could have this amazing avengers ride instead (the one that they promised us back in 2019)I think we're all feeling that to various degrees, especially in the wake of how they modified Splash. Based on the concept art it looks like Infinity Defense will have larger screens than TDS Pan.3. If this is an Avengers version of Pan than the ceiling is probably not very high

For comparison, Spider Man IOA is 55k sf. So yeah 200k sf should be plenty of room for ID.Based on the concept art it looks like Infinity Defense will have larger screens than TDS Pan.
I did some measurements on the Pan showbuilding on Google Earth. if you include the area where the ride is and macitence bay, you're in the ballpark of 50K square feet. if you expand it to what is presume is the queue and preshow area, that figure increases to 75K square feet.
now measuring the area behind MB, it comes to over 200k square feet if you include those green buildings and white shed like thing behind the tower.
Are you saying Tokyo’s PP ride system (ca. 2024) is better than the Disneyland / Disney World ride system for Peter Pan (ca. 1955/1971)? Or are there different rides you’re referring to?Opinions will vary, but I think most will admit that Tokyo's Peter Pan is at least superior to the previous two rides opened on our coast.
Universal Studios Japan's Jurassic World is the same exact ride system as this Avengers ride and uses a number of large AAs. I don't think Disney will do anything near as good as this. We are going to end up with an Avengers ride on the scale of Fantasy Springs Peter Pan instead.
The first piece of concept art with AntMan in Wakanda looks like it will blend practical with digital media IMO.Right and to be fair a dinosaur ride on the ground sets those expectations. A flying Marvel ride does not. The hope for me is that that there is some attempt to blend more physical elements with the screens where possible. The heavy action scenes will obviously be screens but they should be able to give us a few good scenes that are focused more on physical elements like a huge King Thanos AA.
It is still drive along, watch the movie, go the next screen. No matter how Disney spins it, we've seen this everywhere for the last twenty years. It would be different if we were actually flying like they planned originally.
