Do you think that we'll see (or, rather, "hear") any new-original music by James Horner in Avatarland? Or just selections recycled from the movies?

On that note, here's some fun trivia: Horner is already represented elsewhere in the World... :rolleyes:

Honey I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set?

Good call, and you may be right (it's been a LONG time since I was there). I was referring to:

It would be a plus to have custom-made Avatar theme music, but with the budget already being rumored to be a issue on the table i doubt Disney would pony up the cash to do this, expecially when there is material availible from the already exsisting soundtrack.

I would like to think that perhaps some new score elements would be created, particularly for the main E-ticket attractions experience. The already familar *Avatar theme* music is nice, but adding to this specifically for this attraction would be a nice plus.

I agree that the musical style of the films score is a perfect fit for DAK.

They have Star Wars and Marvel. That likely makes LOTR a non-issue for them. I doubt it was ever seriously considered as it would be extremely expensive to do right. But never say never I guess.

Saul Zaentz makes way too much money to sell off his LOTR rights. Could Disney outbid UNI for theme park rights (can you say GTFO Avatar!!)? Yes. But Zaentz, or in the near future his estate, will never sell those rights.

One smurf on steroids or two smurfs on steroids...doesn't matter.

Avatarland is so unattractive to me!

<opinion, of course!>

no offense if its so unattractive to you why bother coming to the thread?

None taken.

Simply because I think that the current Imagination ride is unattractive, does that mean I will stop going to Disneyworld and riding it? <grin>

I do it to keep up on the progress of the Avatar development. If it happens, I surely can't stop it, and I hope WDI does an amazing "blow my socks off" job with it and 15 years (being facetious...perhaps) from now when it opens after 2 more sequels have enthralled a generation and a half of movie goers I am eating humble pie as to how amazing it is.

But, as it stands, I am not a fan of the concept, the movie, or the idea. But, I can respect those who are, and am curious as to what is coming down the pike.

My comment reflects my opinion (hence my note at the end), and shouldn't be construed to imply that I look down on those who are enthusiastic about this experience coming to the parks.

Make sense?
